  2. Sure if you will fit , We have a lot of cloths in there because we do not know what we will run into. Denver last week had 6 " of hail on the ground and we are going right thru there. May have to add a air hose for you LOL

  4. We have tried to do this for 5 years and now we are . One more thing off our bucket list LOL
  5. :sun1:Leaving on a 20 day trip and 7800 miles from Wisconsin. Headed to the Grand Canyon ,Lake Havasu London Bridge, Yusimidi Park , US 1 highway in Cal., Red woods Park, Then up to Spokane Wash, Then up into BC Canada over to the Glacier National Park then Highway 2 all the way back to Wisconsin. There are 5 people and 3 bikes going . Should be a great Trip. Once we get back my wife and I will have traveled from Wisconsin on the bike to all the lower 48 states and all but one province of Canada that touches the USA. We will get that last Province next year when we go out to Portland for Lobster again, Four days and that is all we eat. Wish us luck with the weather on our trip Will post some pictures on the trip at www.wisconsin-wmt.com in the forums in the RIDER CAFE. My 2006 Venture & Bushtec trailer is ready to go. Can't Wait :sun1::sun1:
  6. What brand is the tire. Some have a dot and some have a white tag on the bead of the tire. Mich 'll have a tag on the bead but can not see it unless you pop the bead and look for it. The wheel will cover it up
  7. Sorry to here about your accident. Hope you both recover fastl
  8. If no oil is going on the ground make sure you change your oil asap. If the inner seal that the rod to the slave goes in is bad the oil can get in you engine oil. Just a thought
  9. Just one more idea , did you check you carb diaphragms. You may have ripped one or two. That was the way my 86 acted and I had two ripped diaphragms. Replaced them and everything was good. Just a idea. Good luck:fingers-crossed-emo
  10. If I were you I would call Hannigan ASAP. They will take care of you. We had a guy with the same problem and he called them up and they said to bring it back to the factory being we were not that far and he likes to travel and they fixed his at no charge. CALL: Still going stronge
  11. it was on my rsv tanks for the ebay info also I am going to rebuild my old one and see how it goes
  12. I know that others have posted this and Thank You all for that info it sure help me out . Just wanted to remind people that the fuel pumps fails at around 50,000 miles. I just checked mine and it was ready to go, points were almost gone. I have check three others this week and thiers were like mine or worse. One had only one side with the point left so If your bike has this amount a miles on this would be something to look at so you will not be on the side of the road not running. I replaced mine the the others two of the three did also. Fuel pump replacement is not hard at all,it is right behind the left side cover when your sitting on the bike but when you have it out replace your filter at the same time. I am planning a big trip next year out to Cal about 6000 miles and sure glad I checked mine now. This info is just for your heads up.NO one likes to be on the side out the road not running. And again Thank you to all the past poster that found this problem.
  13. Thanks for the info but they have nothing that we need . I have gotten alot from them in the past but not this time. Thanks again

  15. Bet you a small stone was on top of the plug wire when you pulled it off and fell back in by the plug and will jam the plug as you turn it. Like others have stated use some air and blow it out good but turn the plug back in just a little first. Good luck
  16. Nothing on Ebay Pinwall Good place to look:fingers-crossed-emo
  17. Most definitely
  18. My 06 black cherry venture is "GYPSY ROSE" because we are alway going someplace in the USA and or Canada for a ride on her and the color is like a deep red rose
  19. I agree 100% with FLYINFOOL. If the oil states to be used in wet clutches then it is the clutch spring. I have replaced clutch springs on all that were having a problem slipping and the problem was fixed. No need to replace the hole clutch if it just started to slip. On my trike I run 2 springs for now 5 years and have had no problem with it. Good luck:080402gudl_prv: Everyone keeps saying it is the synthetic oils but if it is made for motorcycle wet clutches it's not the OIL. The problems starts when people run Car or truck oil that is not made for Motorcycle wet clutches.
  20. HO HO HO MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL from snowy Wisconsin. Hope spring comes soon .:snow:
  21. If you are looking for parts try this place. I have ordered many things from them and they tell it like it is. Also show with a yellow pen in the picture if something is wrong with the part. I have uised them for parts on my 86 Yamaha trike and very happy. Check them out http://stores.ebay.com/PinWall-Cycle-Parts-Inc/Venture-1983-1993-/_i.html?_fsub=3669172014&_sid=12458664&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322 Hope this helps:080402gudl_prv:
  22. On my bike I had the light bar bracket on to let me remove the fairing and with the bar bracket I also had the same thing yours looked like. A freind that is a body man fixed my fender and can not tell anymore. But Mine did it when I had to hit both brakes hard to try to stop when someone pulled out in front of me when I was going 60. Just missed the back side of the car but my Front fender had damage from the light bar being to low . Took off the bracket and no problems with 30,000 miles on the bike since. My bracket in on my work bench now Good luck
  23. If you plan to use the Branett system then you need to get the heavy duty spring they have now for the ventures. Branett Part # 501-82-06023 This info came from Branett because I cantacted them to see if they had better springs. They said it will increase your clutch pull about 10 % I did not notice any change. I just install them in my bike with the clutch upgrade by adding a full friction plate were the 1/2 was and now we have hook up. I pull a trailer 95 % of the time . works great now. Good luck
  24. Mine was the head that you use to change everything was bad. Did the same as yours and mine was under warrenty so it was covered. Mine has been fine ever since they replaced the head. It was a two day turn around because they had to send the head into the radio company to make sure it was the problem. They said it was bad and sent a complete new one. Yamaha only covers it for 2 years and the radio company covers it the rest of the 5 year on the bike so they cover 3 years. I could be wrong on this but I know that yamaha does not cover it all the way for 5 years., but the coverage is run thru them .
