pickup coils do not come with the stator on my 1986 venture the parts is Pick-Up Assembly 26H-81670-10-00 Hope this helps Does sound like the Pick-up coils are bad Good luck

Don I know how you feel ,been there many times fixing things but i guess we just work to fast. Glad you got them working like they should.

Just a thought here. I noticed that the wine on my 06 venture i had, got much worse if you were running the intercom with the passenger. The mics picks the wine up and the higher the intercom is turned up the louder it gets. Just take you bike out if you were using the intercom and turn it off the noise almost goes away. I ran my intercom as low as I could to just here the better half behind. Just my thought and something to think about. I traveled all across the USA and Canada on my 06 and had the I basket install and it did get better at highway speed but still had it at low speeds. per the comments from the factory rep that put the I basket in mine he stated that the wine will always be there but he could move it with different baskets so I told him I did not want mine to wine at highway speed and he did get 90 % of it gone from 55 to 75 MPH but moved it to below 50 but then you can change gears to make it better. Just my 2 cents Good luck

Try back bleeding. Push brake fluid up from the slave to the master on the handle bars. Just watch the master close so you don't over fill it . just suck some fluid out of the master if it gets to full. Good luck

Just wondering something with your red light problem. May be a stupid question but do you have a maintenance free battery in your bike if so that red light will blink all the time thinking the acid is low in the battery. Just a thought. There is a fix for it if you do

I have run dyna beads for years on my two wheeler. I install them on first tire change on my 2006 venture and put 65000 miles on the bike with no problems. I also installed them in a lot of motorcycles I changed tire on with I was running my motorcycle shop and not one person came back with a negative response. When I change my front tire on my trike I will be installing them also. Great product Tires last longer and less cupping

I would try Bleeding the clutch. May have a little air in and will not move enough to disengage the clutch all the way Good Luck

Happy Anniversary

I would stay with what I have 1986 love it. Had a 2006 I loved also but it was two wheels and I did not feel comfortable with it at low speed anymore so that is why I built this trike back in 2005 from a Tri-Wing kit from Canada for just this time of my life.My wife loves it also so that is good to keep her happy LOL

Normally when a o-ring is used there is no torque needed.Just put them tight and the o-ring will do its job. When I did mine on my 86 all I did was just make them tight and just a little more but be careful not to do to much because the screws are small and may strip out easy. Just My 2 cents. To get the three stator winding bolts out add some heat because they do have lock tight on them and use a screw drive impact that you hit with a hammer to break them loose.

Steerite or EZ Steer can make your mod to your front end for the sidecar. I had steerite do my trike and love it

I have one i built back in the later 80s. Just upgraded the barrel to a bull barrel and now she shoots very nice and accurate. Love it. I shoot mine a lot in the summer. ENJOY

My 1986 was stamped made in 1985. The color of the dark one is like my 86 and they only made that color in 1986. Good luck
