Thanks you all are awesome. I appreciate it. I’m going to get at this. Gives me something to do while I find a new cdi box mine is toast with the inside all gross.

I don’t know if I’m at that level to get into these carbs. Let alone find all the actual right parts needed I’m about ready to drop it off somewhere and just have it done, any recommendations for such a place. It would be even better to see or help or have someone help so I can learn. I’m pretty good at most of it and I want to learn it but I’d like to ride in this lifetime

so my 83 venture royale 1200 having issues starting. Sometimes talks back(backfires) while trying to start. Cliff note version got this 83 last year lots of work into it already had it running right before snow but haven’t gotten it to start well fired over twice but not again. Changed starters to the better one( still sounds like it “misses” or hard turning) and it’s back firing while trying to start. Sat for 10 years before I got it and the carbs need to be done I was just hoping to get some riding in this year before taking the carbs out. Is there a fast way to clean them. What can I do

Yes. I have total loss of power, won’t even take a charge from the charger. But when I unhook it battery is good on al levels.

So I have no power good battery new, when I hook up the wires to the battery it cancels out my whole battery. When I in hook everything my battery is good. When hooked up nothing. I have to move this bike moving so have to get power. help

Do I pump grease into the clutch slave fitting or something else hope I’m even calling it right That fitting under the rubber flap. Thanks

So I’m looking for a radiator for my 83 venture royale 1200. I know I can get one out in Jordan mn but not till Tuesday at the earliest would like to find one right away tho. Or does anyone repair them my tit broke off. And could be put back on but I’m not there yet with my repairing skills Well it was already broke but now it’s broken. Thanks

So just got this 83 venture royale 1200 and it sat for at least 10 yrs I got it running but this wire on the left side by gas tank was glowing and smoken I’m not sure what it’s for yet and do I have to ha e it plugged in. What would make it hot

So new to the group just got this 83 Yamaha venture royal 1200 and it sat for 10+ years got it running and it makes this weird noise when I kick it to 2nd and on haven’t gotten it going much more then that conserned something odd and bad was happening. What is this noise and how do I make it stop. Thanks
