  2. 'Busy' week next week: 7-day trip to the Alps in Austria with a BMW K1600GT and my BMW K1300GT. But first: Episode Fourteen. One more to go!

  4. Well, today was D-Day part one: battery power back to the bike. Everything worked, no fuses blown, no smoke. Great! Almost....... We can't get the cassette out of the cassette player. The cassette is running and we heard some awful 'German Schlagermuzik', but the cassette doesn't come out of the player and the dash says 'Err'. Is there a way to release the cassette? (End of the weak is D-Day part two: trying to start the engine!)
  5. Naaldwijk: flowers and vegetables! Nice to read you have Dutch roots.
  6. These were new. I had wooden shoes when I was a little kid. It takes a while before your feet get used to these wooden shoes (Dutch: 'klompen'). There are still farmers in my village wearing these every day.

  11. 100KPH(62.13MPH) 5L/100KM (47.04MPG) 110KPH(68.35MPH) 5.5L/100KM(42.77MPG) That's pretty good imho!
  12. Yep, we followed the book....... and added some grease (moly).
  13. Episode Eleven........time flies. Next week all the engine covers and parts will be mounted. The bike will get new fluids. In total we've invested about $5400 (5100) euro's so far........
  14. We closed the COVID-chapter last week, so let's continue! First we sprayed a layer of rust protection on the inside of the fenders: Second, we added some chrome parts to the fenders: Awesome! Some bearings from the back wheel are damaged. Probably by ourselves when dismounting these parts. We ordered a couple of new ones:
  15. Thank you and and we will! A bit slow next week. We're both caught by COVID. It's more like a cold. We'll survive.
