  1. Where's the tapedeck? Or would that be an 8-track?
  2. thanks for the link....now to do some reading.
  3. A while back someone posted a very informative thread that told of many little "secrets" about the RSV that many owners weren't aware of....I have looked but can't find that thread agin....can someone direct me to it please. Thanks
  4. Happy Birthday Robert.
  5. O.K....thanks for the info.
  6. On the Wing that I just got rid of, as soon as someone spoke into the mic, the radio would cut out so you could hear each other. This doesn't seem to be the case with my RSV...you can still hear the radio in the background when you're talking....you need to talk over the music...is that the way it is supoosed to work, or do I need to adjust some settings?
  7. I really want one but the price is a killer. Why do that feel the need to have it chromed? What's wrong with just powder coated or something? Does the side stand get in the way or interfere with the centre stand at all?
  8. Makes me that much sadder that I couldn't make this event! What kind of camera did you use, and how/where was it mounted? Nice steady video.
  9. O.K...found out that when I press the select button only, it cycles through the odometers but no clock...have to hold down both buttons for a few seconds and then ...viola...a clock....and it's even in Canadian time......eh !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I actually got the radio presets without too much headache....I'll try the clock thing later today.
  11. I have tried many times now to press both the reset and selct buttons to get the clock to show.....it will show the trip odometers but I can't get the clock to show. Maybe it's a left-handed clock???
  12. Ordered one from Chuck....good to go. Thanks everyone for their input.
  13. dacheedah...which bracket do you have?
  14. Happy Birthday......ya old fart!
  15. Have a 6mm ball allen driver...my issue is the angle that I have to go to get at it is such that you don't get enough bite on the head of the bolt to turn it. Gotta look into some sort of offset spacer...... Darthandy...thanks for that link...I'll follow up on that.
  16. I just wrestled with removing the aux front lights...now I'm new to the RSV but man, there has to be a better way....I assume it's the same for everyone but the mounting holes are just far enough above the bottom edge of the fairing to make it next to impossible to get to! Has anyone fabricated a bracket that would lower these lights by about one inch?
  17. Got er done and working....amazing! Thanks Bobby.
  18. Thanks Bobby.....as you may remember, when it comes to electrical......I'm useless so thanks for translating the wiring diagram into English! Should have this done in no time..........should!
  19. I have split the fairing and want to tap into the wires from the headlight for my flash 2 pass transmitter....which of the three wires leading into the headlight do I need? Which one is ground? Thanks.
  20. What seat are you looking to trade for? I have the pillow-top. Pics would be good.
  21. I need to replace the current drivers backrest with one that pops on and off.....the Queen swings her right leg around over my seat to slide off the bike when she dismounts, and so needs a backrest that can be moved out of the way. The one I currently have in the kind that is on the frame rail....it tips forward but just not far enough out of the way.......can anyone direct me to who makes that style for the RSV? Thanks.
  22. well I started before I read this so I got all the screws out but couldn't get one of the two bolts loose that hold on the front light bar so I couldn't get the fairing apart......put her all back together and will try again some other day when I have more time. Thanks for all the info. Am trying to mount the transmitter for the Flash to Pass transmitter which opens the garage door....you hook it into the headlight wiring and then activate it by flipping on the highbeams twice and viola....the garage door opens!
  23. So much for it being easy! O.K...thanks.
  24. I just want to pull the headlight of my 2006 RSV out so I can connect my Flash to Pass transmitter to the headlight wires.......removed the allenhead bolt from the trim but the trim won't move. What's the trick? Thanks.
