  1. Thanks everyone. In this day and age when many marriages fail, I believe milestones are worth celebrating. Everybody enjoy life...and ride safely.
  2. Swifty...it is sad to say goodbye to an old faithful friend that has given you many fond memories....but perhaps in the near future you will find a new friend...and RSV friend, much like I did! You wont be without for too long....that itch is one that must be scratched.
  3. ........well it was 34 years ago that she agreed to put up with me on a permanent basis and marry me...cant believe it has been that long! Two wonderful kids later...and hopefully soon some grandkids......she still beside me......she deserves a trophy! Going for a short ride, and then she wants to watch football....does it get any better?
  4. O.K....thanks for the info. Never worked on a clutch...where's the best place to get an "I" version? How much? How big a job to swap out?
  5. O.K...please don't kill me for bringing up this topic...I know there have been many discussions on it and I think I read them all....but I'm not sure if the question was ever really answered.....is there an actual fix for the chirping that will totally stop it? Mine is loud enough to drive me crazy....luckily it's a short drive!
  6. That's where I bought this RSV from. Will have to get back there and check out the bin.
  7. OKAY.....which dealer?
  8. Have met them both, and they are great people.
  9. In our thoughts and prayers.
  10. Carl........that's was a sympathy wave through......
  11. Gonna try and make it........wanna go bad.......
  12. Well I figured that Squid...he wasn't nearly as handsome......:rotf:
  13. Spotted a Black Cheery RSV in the MacDonalds in Dunnville yesterday, and then a blue RSV on Hwy #3 heading into Dunnville....any of our people??
  14. I have the "Flash2pass" and installed the tansmitter in the fairing and zip-tied it in place. It will open and close the garage door but also opens the door when I start the bike!! Talked to the people at Flash2pass and have found out ( as I suspected ) that it's not hooked up properly.....they tell me "You need to be on the hot wire to your high beam and ground wire". There's not much room in there and I have fat fingers.....can anyone tell me what color wires I need to look for? Electircal stuff is NOT my forte. Thanks. O.K....once again I've proven what an electrical dufus I am....re-read some wiring instructions given to me earlier and see that I didn't follow those instructions....redo the work...the right way and viola!! It works properly.
  15. That is a great idea....I'm guessing many of us will be taking two days to get there and could use this option. Thanks for looking into this.
  16. Where's the tapedeck? Or would that be an 8-track?
  17. thanks for the link....now to do some reading.
  18. A while back someone posted a very informative thread that told of many little "secrets" about the RSV that many owners weren't aware of....I have looked but can't find that thread agin....can someone direct me to it please. Thanks
  19. Happy Birthday Robert.
  20. O.K....thanks for the info.
  21. On the Wing that I just got rid of, as soon as someone spoke into the mic, the radio would cut out so you could hear each other. This doesn't seem to be the case with my RSV...you can still hear the radio in the background when you're talking....you need to talk over the music...is that the way it is supoosed to work, or do I need to adjust some settings?
  22. I really want one but the price is a killer. Why do that feel the need to have it chromed? What's wrong with just powder coated or something? Does the side stand get in the way or interfere with the centre stand at all?
  23. Makes me that much sadder that I couldn't make this event! What kind of camera did you use, and how/where was it mounted? Nice steady video.
  24. O.K...found out that when I press the select button only, it cycles through the odometers but no clock...have to hold down both buttons for a few seconds and then ...viola...a clock....and it's even in Canadian time......eh !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  25. I actually got the radio presets without too much headache....I'll try the clock thing later today.
