  1. Had the same thing off and on for a day or two lately.
  2. Congratulations! In this day and age, those milestones are worth celebrating. Have a great time.
  3. OK Steve, will give that a try one of these evenings. Thanks,
  4. This extra brake light was mounted on the trunk lid when I bought the bike. I believe it was working at the time but can't say for sure. Also can't remember where/how it was wired when I undid it to install my new rear light bar ( Ya I know....serious case of CRS). Now I want to get this light working again since it's there anyway, but can't figure out the wiring....it has a black wire, a white wire and a ground wire. Have included a pic in case that helps someone to identify it and maybe I can get wiring instructions from the manufacture or distributor. Thanks.
  5. Leaving friday night for a week at the cottage in Amberley.......if anybody from here is in the area and wants to drop in for a beverage or to swap lies, we're at 86666 Amberley Beach Rd. Nice size enclosed garage to wrench in and the beverages are always cold.
  6. But his ride is really lacking in "safety chrome"..... Must be such a trip flying one of those things.
  7. Nice ride! Enjoy it.
  8. Maybe she won't event notice......
  9. I just bought one of these last week: http://www.kosonorthamerica.com/koso/shop/volt-meter-motorcycle_gauges/super-slim-style-volt-meter-4/. Hoping to have it installed in a week or two.
  10. Carl......I'm not saying you're old buddy......just saying.....well.......you're old!!! Bwahahaha! Happy Birthday buddy!
  11. You know you don't have to leave just beacuse you don't currently ride a Venture.
  12. Very nice Steve, congratulations.
  13. I always knew this site was amazing and full of great people......I was just reminded of this again this week.....a member recently posted a picture and in the picture I saw an after-market item on his bike that I was also thinking of buying. I PM'd him to ask about it, and the interesting mount that he had for it. It turns out he made the mount himself, and when I asked if he had more pictures or plans for the item so that I could have one made for myself, he asked for my address and sent me one! Said he was "paying it forward"!! I would like to say who it was but I don't want that to cause an avalanche of headaches as a result. I will pay him for the shipping costs. So, I feel it is my turn to pay it forward......I have 4 new in the box speedbleeders that I had purchased for my 2000 Wing and never got around to installing them before I sold the bike. There are 3 SB8125L - two for the front brakes and one for the rear brake, and 1 SB8125LL - for the clutch. They will fit a '95-2000 Wing....FREE...you pay the shipping, which considering the weight, should be next to nothing. First one that speaks up owns them.
  14. O.K....name these desparodos...
  15. Oh man Russ......I was going to carve you a beautiful life size statue of .......me!! Now you haven't given me enought time to get that done....oh well.....have to scrap that idea.....
  16. I have been on this new to me RSV since last fall and never experienced any lock-up with the brakes. Think you have some work to do.
  17. I believe that security update has caused a problem.....I didn't receive my membership shareholders dividend payment this week..........:rotf:
  18. I have not had the pleasure of meeting Buddy, but will keep him in my prayers. Best of luck.
  19. Hope it was too embarrassing a picture!
  20. Born in '84!!! Heck, I got shoes older then that!
  21. Not sure about the Rivo centre stand but I just mounted one of Don's old first gen stands modified for 2nd gen and had to make some adjustments on how far out the mounting bolt heads were to control how far "over" centre the bike went.....once I got the adjustment right, she was easy to get up onto the centre stand when she wasn't going way past centre.
  22. Having just come off a 2000 Wing, you'll enjoy the ride...as you said...smooth, quiet and pwerful. My only issue with it was the seating position that aggravated my hip....otherwise I would still be riding that.
  23. schmily, I have that issue about half the time I ride to work..I fold my sports coat in half the long way and then roll it up and put it in a bag.......once at work, just unroll and hang and it seems to be O.K.
  24. Yes.....disconnecting the batter will work....I just did that last week and everything was reset back to zero.
