  1. Well the bike is in the shop. Has 4 new new diaphragms I purchased a used CDI from a person in the Forums and ends up it is not a fully functioning CDI. I will bring the original CDI to the bike shop for them to try. They state that it is the Grey Wire from the CDI/EMU that is the issue, as when they change cylinders, the trouble follows the wire.

  4. I was straight up with the Dealer...he is saying that the carb diaphragms need replacing. His price $250.00 each. I went online and see that there are some much cheaper.....but some from China, not sure if they are of equal quality. Not Sure what I am looking for as I have never taken the carb apart. Would it be the long or short one Maybe someone knows where I can get ahold of these here in Canada or the USA.
  5. I called my dealer and he has a mechanic that has been there 25 plus years and has knowledge about this bike.
  6. Well.....looks like this is going to the dealer to be serviced. It's all put back together....two good friends of mine said to take it to be serviced and not to tell them what I have done...but to tell them I bought it as is and mention there is a newer CDI, Battery and spark plugs. Who would agree with NY 2 friends? What would you tell the dealer??

  10. Running....but very rough. Tach does not appear to he registering correctly either. Engine bogs down when initially giving it throttle...then appears to rev up

  14. All wires tested for ground were fine... with ignition ON Red/white wire to CDI shows 12.5vdc. Question.... the plug wires screw into the boot.....the other end on the coil....is that screwed in as well or just pushed in and lock with the plastic nut?
  15. I will hook up the intake box and filter and see if it will cure the problem.......but the Tach still seems slow in responding. I would hate to get it all back together and it continue to act up....and have to tear it down again. I am technically inclined.......but I am far from a mechanic and trouble shooter
  16. After changing the CDI I now have the engine firing on all 4 cyls......it idles fine......but when giving it throttle it bogs down to the point if I keep the throttle open or increase it it will stall...the Tach is still slow to respond.

  18. The battery....battery box...coils and TDI are all out of the bike now....as well as most if the front fairing on both sides.
  19. Now.....if it is the TDI....should I go used.....or look at the one available from Ignitech ?
  20. I just took out the ignition coils from the bike. The Primary on all 4 are 2.8ohms...secondaries are all around 13 Kohm with the plug wires removed I must of made a typo with the 4.8 ohm primary .
  21. I believe that it is the TDI that needs to be replaced.
  22. Pickup coils are to specs all @ 114 ohms
  23. I checked all 4 ignition coils and the primary read 4.8 Ohms and the Secondary were 22K ohms.
