Well enjoy your 'holiday', and we'll keep an eye on the bad ones as usual. Don't worry a thing about us, although we will miss you.

Sorry to hear this about your Bro Reiny, hope all goes well and he heals soon. Not always an easy thing with MS.

You quit working for some else and do what you want to do. Yep, I retired in 1988 and started doing what I wanted to do and now am so busy doing what I thought I wanted to do, I don't have time to do the things I want to do again, so I'll now have to make some money and then attempt to do what it I want to do some more. More than that, my retirement package is out of this world.

Marca is my wife and I'm Carl. SO the names fit nice together, MarCarl and we got married. Now we ride together so it fits even better. My sig. well should be self explanatory but it changes from time to time, depends on the message needed.

Answer: cardboard box!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who's at fault??? Maybe advertising: we're all led to believe that everything can be guaranteed, warrantied, replaced free of charge, that we expect that to mean everything. There is no real onus on self anymore. Government has to look after this that and everything else, insurance for what ever may bother us and on and on and on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Let's see, a good waitress\waiter, works one hour, serves four tables minimum, 2 people per table, minimum, $25.00 per person, that's eight times twenty five equals $200.00, times a minimum of 10% equals $20.00 per hour minimum plus their wages, ok, when do we start tipping butchers? I tip but only if the serve deserves it. If I have to wait and wait and wait and then wait for my bill to show, sorry you've taken tooo much of my time already, and if they auto add it, well I always have to wonder why. Now I don't travel so that part of it I can't speak to, but it just wants me to stay home more.

Does that make us friends???

Had/have 6 kids, their best and most loved toy??????????????? Come on guess,,,,,,,,, . . Around the supper table tonight my 5 year old grandson says he hit his brother with a Snow ball, funny eh grandpa? but then his brother informs us that throwing snow balls at school is notlowed any more in case someone might get hurt, and then he says that they were playing hockey and someone ended up in the hospital for stitches because they got a stick on the forehead, but they still play hockey, go figure. Kids played a lot of cars and trucks when they were young (and so did I) but the whole world came to standstill when Allan got his mokocyle, nobody, but nobody, even Daddy, was to touch his mokocyle.

Ya I can see where you are coming from, but as said before there is another side to the coin. I'm not sure I got it all the way right but here's my thought on that. First, there are a lot of people taking the insurance companies for a ride and it's up to them to somehow decipher who's who. Maybe they don't always get it right and maybe sometimes they send out a human to do a god's work, can't be all that easy either doing that job, but that said, I really feel for an honest person when they are put through the wringer, Sherri for example, or Dan or a host of others. Insurance is also a business and in competition, and their costs are sky high, and some one has to pay for it all, that where premiums come in and why we pay so much. If there were less claims and more money to be made then more companies would jump on the band wagon and premiums would go down, as it is, a feller could be broke even before he starts in that racket. Elimination of bogus claims would sure help a lot as well. JMT Carl

Don't want stretch into any argumentative type thread, but it would be nice for you to read what you wrote. Here you stated that it's ok for you to make money by getting some else not to make theirs, and now the question is, when you go to work do you offer to work the first hour for nothing? or take a reduction in your wages because your employer can find cheaper help?. I don't think so, but you are asking some else to do that for you?

Darn, all the fun things happen when I'm asleep, guess I sleep daytime from now on.

Maybe I'm reading between the lines too much, but it seems to me that you were very happy with your dealer, spending allllllll that money and sending more folks over there to spend their's. People don't usually do that unless they are quite happy with what's going on. Now you tell the dealer how much you have spent there and remind him of how many people shop there because of you and then you ask him for a 'favor', he probably assumed you were asking for it to be done for no charge. Then if you at times displayed the language there, as you attempted in your first post here, the dealer already has a handle on you and maybe is fed up with what he has to listen to, and now is asked to do a wide open freebie that could land him a bunch of trouble? I deal with customers every day and if one should get belligerent, well so long buddie, my peace in life is worth more than your business. Thanks for coming, but go bother some else next time, I'd rather see you 'happy' at the competition than miserable here.

Now 'THAT WAS EASY'!!!!! But if we could set our fonts to our own standard so that each time we posted it would just come out the way we want it, THAT WOULD BE EASier

Does this mean that every ride we go on with another VentureRider we get to post another number? must it be an eating place for a rest stop? maybe we should define it some more.

We almost started a new language in our family when my 2 year old grandson, Hasten , was over one day and needed to have some 'kabuts' on his mac & cheese. We thought a first he was speaking Hebrew but soon figured out that 'ketchup' was the necessary item.

Driving lights, stator output, another data point
Marcarl replied to Gearhead's topic in General Tech Talk
55 watts for driving lights is lots more than what you need, I run 30 watts incandescent and am plenty happy. You also need to keep in mind the height of these things, the lower you hook them on, the brighter they'll be in the face of others and the less useful to you. Hook them higher up on the scoot and they will be pointed down to the road and give you more benefit and less bothersome to others. -
Remember: Just because the dealer did it, does not mean it's perfect, experience has taught me that.

If you have read the Bible and believe what is written there, the prophecy for the end of time is that the state will control all people, we will have a one world government and consequently we will have total chaos. Gaining control over all people (well, maybe not all, but enough to take total control) does not happen over night, it takes time and the previous generation would not have let it happen. The next generation seems a lot better suited to be led around by the nose and scared or manipulated into following 'who knows who'. Maybe time to take a listen and realize that we very well may be living in the end of the age. We have not seen a shift in society like the one we are experiencing today, ever. Maybe time to wake up. Just my thoughts: When running in the bush and on the fields and only using the tire for a short time anyways, the dangers of tire failure and lack of traction due to poor rubber composition is probably not a big issue, like you said, the sharpness of the knobs is important. When running on the highway at speeds in excess of 30mph the composition of the rubber starts to become very important to maintain all the traction you can get, in dry or in wet. If you would like to be a guinea pig and see what the cheap tires will do, I'll listen when you tell us, if you are able to post after you find out. In my opinion you mostly get what you pay for and if the cheaper tire could be sold for more, they would put a higher price on it. This may not always be the case, but I become very sensitive when I see big price discrepancies.
