Sounds like a 2nd gen to me, no wonder you are dissappointed

That I really enjoyed, because it made me see a little more clearly.

I for one have really enjoyed this thread. It started out by a simple question and then lots of options and opinions were offered, even some got a little hot under the collar, YES, it all shows we care for things and have feelings and care for one another. Love does not always come easy, it usually has some rough spots, but it's how we handle these trials is what shows what kind of people we really are. We got through it all very nicely, learned something about each other in the process and found out that BIG DADDY does come in handy sometimes, JUST LIKE IN A REAL FAMILY. Sometime I wonder where he gets all the wisdom and insight, maybe he has a secret stash somewhere. Congratulations all. Now go have a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION. And, no I'm not suggesting that we do this on a daily basis.

I didn't see her either, thanks for directing the way. She don't look to good though, I doubt whether she can ride, doesn't look like she can cook, and she looks quite new so I really wonder if she's ever done floors. Maybe if I got her she could go out to get the mail, but then what would the dog do. Nah best leave her where she's at, don't look all that useful to me.

You mean to say that's this is abnormal, REALLY!

Sunday, hi of 8 and rain to clean off the roads, maybe,,,,,,,,,,maybe,,,,,,, nah it's out of gas, now what to do. Take the clothes off and get to work on second gear I guess, had some problem with second this summer, seemed to jump into that gear when at a stop light, can't understand it, think I'll just remove it so it won't happen again.

We will never solve all these problems, the poor will always be with us and we need to look out for them the best we can. That being said, the best we can do for ourselves is: TEACH YOUR CHILDREN WELL!!!! Not only how to work, but also proper ethics and proper giving.

Sorry, I must be one of your siblings and forgot all about it. Maybe better next year, but I doubt it. Glad the VentureRider family thought of you. Hate for you to miss a birthday, you wouldn't be able to claim the pension in time.

As the good book says and many of us were taught: if you have an issue with your brother (he has wronged you), go to him and tell him, if that solves the issue, well and good, if it doesn't then take 2 or 3 brothers with you the next time for witnesses and more input, for your side as well as his, and if that solves the issue, ok, all is well, if that doesn't solve it, then tell him he will be turfed and if he still desires not to repent, then boot him out. This goes for hers as well as hims. Hey, and this works. Some fix their problems, and some not, but it does keep the organization in good terms and nobody can say we are biased.

Heavy males are we, well there are some, but are there enough to qualify a mention?

Why not tell us sooner, we could have sent someone over there to feel you better!!!!!!!! Ya, but we're just not to sure what else he might do, nah let him 'enjoy' his time of feeling not so good, he feel much better about it later. I suppose we get the blamed for that now too!!! Just our luck, we get blamed for everything that goes bad.

Need Brake Help Desperately
Marcarl replied to kycaveman's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
That's where I would look, in the pedal travel, may be hanging up on something. or need some lubrication. -
The 8" tires take less air than the 12" so you don't have to drag as much of that around with ya. Important to realize when you need to fill up with air in Ottawa or Washington. Needless to say, if you don't go to those type of places maybe it won't concern you too much.

Need direction
Marcarl replied to Daggett's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
The other thing to check would be the oil level in the crankcase. It should only be halfway up the glass, no more, any more than that you'll be shooting oil up into the breather right between carbs 1 and 3 so that might also give you some problems. -
Years ago we walked where ever we went, or we rode a horse. We would talk to folks as we passed them, ask about things in their life and their families, we could tell if they were lying or if they told the truth, because we could see them. Then slowly on we got cars and we just waved and then the cars got windows and air conditioning and then the windows were tinted so that now we don't know who we are passing. The same goes for communications, first a letter, then the phone and now we have email. Can we really tell who's who from email? This may seem a bit religious and probably is, but our world is being set up for a one world government, and how can that happen unless we as a general population are first isolated from each other? The progress is far advanced on this issue, but who cares? As long as we can live in our own little world, the government can do what they want, but when the beast finally takes over, it will be too late to stop it. You mentioned that if we took away all the 'goodies' that we are so used to today that you could go right on living, not so. Take away one little thing - electricity - for only one week and see what kind of soup we would be in. What if we could no longer communicate via the internet, what would happen to production, food on the stores shelves, cars in the drive way, bottled water and the list goes on. If we can go by how many people actually vote for government then we see how many people really care about what the future holds. If half the population doesn't care then that half will dictate to the rest of us how things will be, and those of us who care will be swept along with the masses whether we like it or not. We have seen so much change in our lives that we are quite used to closing our eyes to things we don't go along with, and then accept the change as 'that's life today'. Aacchhh I could go on, but maybe you get my point Carl

Poor C ?????????????what was his name again?

Ok so I'm assuming that it has been colder there than the present temp. All that is metal will be cold and with the high humidity with the rain and all, moisture will collect on all those cold items, scoots, tools, lawn mowers, jacks, you name it. Nothing you can do but try to keep the metal the same temp as the air, which is hard to do in your case. The best defense that I can think of is to spray all the surfaces with a wax or WD40, but then that leaves the problem as to how to remove it later. Even an osculating fan might be of help, just to try to equalize the temp (air and metal). As for the inside of the engine? My guess is that would see moisture as well. Best to plug the carbs and exhaust with an oiled rag when it's still warm, not hot, just a little warmer than the outside air.
