And here I thought we were doing just fine without you and you could take another week off. Oh well, all good things must come to an end, and so it is, now that the boss is back.:happy65: Glad you had a good time, and welcome back, we kind of did miss you, you know.

Every day we ask our Creator to look after our VR family, and to touch those who have not yet had the experience of His presence. A special prayer goes out for you folks.

Don't really need a lot, I ride a first gen.

If I think that my load is getting close to the limit, I will ride or drive, depending on the vehicle, for about 20 min to half hour and then stop to check the tire temp. If it is hot, it's time to do something, should they be warm, I'm happy and will check again further down the road. But always keep the pressure where it should be. When I ride solo, my pressure will be less than when I ride fully loaded,(never mind the comments). I really don't want a hard tire with little contact patch and slim grip when I will need all the help I can get in a problem situation.

A little shocked would be the word when I read the title of this thread. Glad to hear that they are ok. Thank the Good Shepherd for His guidance.

There is defiantly something wrong with that water, seems it bleached all the color from his body, but not his neck and face, but then look at Charlie, someone must have dunked him under, he's all white.

Nah we'll keep it on the bright side, you watch.

I'm sure you screwed up somewhere, I just don't know where yet, but give it 6 months to a year and someone will find a discrepancy. . Personally at this time and this place with the information I have at this time, and given the direction which to me was informed by others of a more broader knowledge base and experience, notwithstanding that there is a outside possibility that with a firmer grip on the handle of this subject matter, I would, in the extreme, think (ooppps)that maybe I would think otherwise, I at this time would offer to you that I am somewhat in agreement with the aforesaid statement, although maybe not in it's entirety or nor being totally relied upon to be agreed.

A good friend of mine, Don Gibson, Pres. of the OMSA, related this story to us when in MC training. (Don rides what ever, is not fuzzy and thinks all bikes have good points and some draw backs. He doesn't even mind my Road Sofa, thinks if it works for me, he's all for it.)( Oh ya, he has only one hand and a short arm on the right but still rides) One day Don was tootin down the road in his Mazda PU when he encounters a motor cycle broke down along side the road. As is, and was his habit, he stopped to see if the assistance he could give would be accepted and lo and behold it was, for the rider and scoot were dead in the water. Don, being somewhat mechanically inclined, proceeded to inspect the scoot to see if repairs could be done, but alas, it was not to be fixed on the roadside, so he offered to load the scoot in the back of the PU and take rider and bike to their place of residence. As they climbed in the truck, Don asked where the rider was from, which he then found out was NY state, about a 3 hour run. No matter to Don, he had some time and a fellow rider was in trouble, so he was going to help as best he could, so, onto NY they went. The rider not knowing Don very well and being in love with his 'all American made ride' began to talk MC, which suited Don just fine, seeing as at one point in his life he actually raced MCs. During the following conversation the rider began to degrade everything that wasn't American made, and this irked Don somewhat, but he let it ride, for a while, until he had to come to the defense of off shore scoots. At that point he asked the rider that if off shore products where no good for anything, then why was it, that when his ALL American made scooter broke down, it was fine to load it in the back of a Japanese truck and so bring it and himself to their destination. Don said the rest of the trip was very peaceful.

The more noise they make, truth or fiction, the more people watch, the more they watch, the more ads they see, the more ads they see the more ads are generated, all the more reason to build up a good story and the cycle starts all over. Ya,,,,,,,,, something like that

SO you want the white stuff, and just how did you expect it to get there? Maybe the government next year wil get it neatly put along side the roads and driveways, and make it so that it will withstand temperature of 50 degrees or more. Maybe while they're at it they can also create a new holiday for bikers that starts on Jan 01 and finishes just before Christmas. Ah never mind all that fool stuff, just enjoy your R&R and forget about us poor working stiffs who are growing colder each day and maybe soo cranky by May that it will all summer for us to thaw out.

There's a how to: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=496&highlight=forks+seal+replacement Need some physical help? that may also be possible. Where do you live. Someone may be close enough to help out, we've been known to do that before, and may do again if prompted -
Just got some from SuperBright but haven't installed them yet. I'll post my findings when I do. Bought some from CTC that didn't do the trick, they were bright enough but very little difference in the daytime when the brakes come on, so I'll try these and let you know.

Often times the wick will get hard on the end and then refuse to go down, so you need to trim the wick occasionally. Some folks would trim it lower on the ends than in the middle giving them more fire than with a straight wick, now that is for lamps and may not apply to heaters. As for the fuel, stays good almost until you use it. If it is gelled, as this is what will show it's age, mix with some fresh and with probably work just fine.
