  1. Well guess that makes you 'loud.
  2. Did somebody give you permission?
  3. Don't mind having you around, now stick it out will ya, I hate missing people!
  4. We changed for 2 reasons. One was because Marca was having back and leg issues and found it hard to get on the 2 wheels when I was already seated, and she couldn't bring herself to think it was safe to get on a leaning bike, the second reason was that we knew that somewhere down the road we would have to go to three wheels and if we waited for that day to come we would be too old to get the proper feel and adjust for the differences. The twisty can be a load of fun, ya you get the feeling that your going to tip over or slide/fall off. One thing I found out is that you need to do exactly the opposite of 2 wheels in the steering business. On 2 wheels you push left to go left, on the Spyder you push left to go right and the counter pressure of the push keeps you solid in the seat. Once you master that the 2 wheelers will wonder where you went.
  5. Before thinking too far, re-fill the tank and check the mileage that way. Fuel gauges are not to be trusted.
  6. 1 the motorcycle has the air ride controller but no wires going to it and I didn’t see a pump did all of the ventures come with air ride? The controller should have a multi plug connector to the under side of it, it might be buried inside the faring. The controller looks like it is need of replacement as well. The pump is under the top case and by the looks of the condition of the rest of the bike I would suggest to overhaul it (clean it inside and out) or just go with replacing it with individual shraeder valves. 2 the clutch needs the fluid changed badly, is there anything special I need to do to bleed it? Just be careful not to let any air in the system, it can be a bugger to get out again. On the other hand I would suggest to take off the cylinders, master and slave to thoroughly clean them. Would safe a big headache down the road. While you are at it, do the same for the brakes. 3 cruise is not working open to suggestions on where I should start for that? Maybe a fuse, switch in the clutch or brake handle or foot brake switch. 4 coolant leak— the owner before me laid the motorcycle over twice and the crash bar cracked the tube going to the water pump, so how do I find part numbers and parts for these bikes? https://www.yamahasportsplaza.com/oemparts/c/yamaha_motorcycle/parts Or Check out pinwall but don't go to Bikebandit, they are out of business. 5 brakes— the front brake works great but the sight glass is broken— rear brakes don’t work the best so I will bleed them is there anything special I need to do to bleed it? As mentioned, I would take both cylinder off and clean them first, then refill with fresh fluid.
  7. Maybe best put it back in the drawer, doesn't look as good as it did last time you had it out.
  8. Might have something to do with the return cable adjustment or routing.

Sometimes you just got to mess things up to keep her on her toes.

You could have told Phantom Wife that seeing as you were already in KW you might as well make a visit to the Rooster, get a free coffee and so make the trip more worthwhile and less expensive. She might have seen the value in that.
  12. All our grandkids and great grandkids have one, just to be able to get their goodies from grandma on Dec 05, Sinterklass.
  13. Seems like my memory says that you need to drill out the shifter and then insert a bushing,,,, yep that's my recollection, at least for now.
  14. Finally the wooden shoes show up. Did you redo those as well. Wondered how long we had to wait for them.
  15. Tel her it's for safety reasons, got to be something there that would make it safer me thinks.
  16. I'm not much help in that regard I'm afraid, not that versed in 2nd gen build. Hopefully somebody will jump in here.
  17. Looks real good,, now take good care of it.
  18. They are totally adjustable because of the 'knuckle' mounting. They also have a larger pad area which also gives a more comfortable installation. Normally with highway pegs you set them close to what is comfortable and live with the results and get used to it, with these you can set them so that they serve you the best way possible. I wouldn't buy anything else.
  19. Follow the sequence to the letter. First of I think is the rear left, it doesn't have a sync screw and is only adjusted to set the idle and that would be the 'hidden' thumb screw between the 2 carbs and is your base carb.. Set that to 900rpm, then the other carb on the left side needs to pull the same vac. It seems you have that about right. Always keep the idle at 900 or you will change the vac draw as you go, and that is done by adjusting the idle screw only on the left side. Now comes the fun part on the right side, which screw does what. Look closely at the linkage, one carb is linked to the left side, the other has a link going to the other one on the right side. First sync the right side together, keeping the idle at 900, then adjust so that the right side 2 come together with the left side, always going back to adjust to 900rpm.
  20. Put in some methyl hydrate to clean out the water.
  21. Hoping you guys have many enjoyable hours on those wheels.
  22. Greasing the final drive spline is kind of touchy. I've used molly and found it didn't stick very well and soon the spline was dry, and then went with Lucas X-tra heavy duty and it kept the spline wet. Some guys also use a Honda grease and find that works.
  23. Yep,, so what is it you want from us?
