  1. Whatever you do, donut,,, I mean donnot cover the seed with a whole lot of dirt, actually lay the seed on top of the asphalt,, I mean soil and then just kind of walk it in. Then water it with a hose and gun enough so that the soil gets really shiny on top and makes a bit fluid mud, then move on. Look back to see if you can see any seeds and I think you'll find they are now mud colored. Perfect amount of soil! Oh and don't listen to @saddlebum, all he ever grows is brown grass.
  2. I can't seem to see the missing nail. Did yo hide it?
  3. The reason you have bald spots maybe more due to the soil more than anything else. If you have problems growing grass, which seems to grow wherever you don't want it, but won't even sprout when you seed it, you could cover what is there with some good soil first, maybe just an inch or two. Rake it well, then throw on a carpet of seed, rake a little again and then roll it lightly to firm the seed to the soil. Grass seed does not like to be buried, just barely covered. Keep it watered every evening, not mornings, for about 2 weeks. And you can throw the straw on, but I wouldn't.
  4. Take a good look at the picture and the nomenclature. Assemble the inner tube, slide it into the lower tube and fasten with the bolt from the lower end, add the spacer then the oil seal then the washer then the ciriclip and then the dust seal. https://www.yamahasportsplaza.com/oemparts/a/yam/5004250ff8700209bc78808b/front-fork Hope this helps and is not more confusing.
  5. Thinking it may be the shifter cam, located just behind the clutch, so you'll need to remove the clutch cover to see it. It may have lost a pin.
  6. Open side of the seal goes down, then the washer goes curved down so the center would be high at the top side. Your picture shows the bottom of the inner tube, the seal goes on the other end. I think I'm right, should see the whole picture to be exact.
  7. You dress up pretty nice Earl, but soon the clothes will show signs of wear and tear, just trying to get out from under the workload comin at yah. Enjoy your retirement to the fullest.
  8. Yep, and can count all the way to 69 as well. Just have to put on a different hat for that.
  9. Guess that was all lies, lies and more lies. BTW, don't believe everything @cowpuc says, especially about me.
  10. Well guess that makes you 'loud.
  11. Did somebody give you permission?
  12. Don't mind having you around, now stick it out will ya, I hate missing people!
  13. We changed for 2 reasons. One was because Marca was having back and leg issues and found it hard to get on the 2 wheels when I was already seated, and she couldn't bring herself to think it was safe to get on a leaning bike, the second reason was that we knew that somewhere down the road we would have to go to three wheels and if we waited for that day to come we would be too old to get the proper feel and adjust for the differences. The twisty can be a load of fun, ya you get the feeling that your going to tip over or slide/fall off. One thing I found out is that you need to do exactly the opposite of 2 wheels in the steering business. On 2 wheels you push left to go left, on the Spyder you push left to go right and the counter pressure of the push keeps you solid in the seat. Once you master that the 2 wheelers will wonder where you went.
  14. Before thinking too far, re-fill the tank and check the mileage that way. Fuel gauges are not to be trusted.
  15. 1 the motorcycle has the air ride controller but no wires going to it and I didn’t see a pump did all of the ventures come with air ride? The controller should have a multi plug connector to the under side of it, it might be buried inside the faring. The controller looks like it is need of replacement as well. The pump is under the top case and by the looks of the condition of the rest of the bike I would suggest to overhaul it (clean it inside and out) or just go with replacing it with individual shraeder valves. 2 the clutch needs the fluid changed badly, is there anything special I need to do to bleed it? Just be careful not to let any air in the system, it can be a bugger to get out again. On the other hand I would suggest to take off the cylinders, master and slave to thoroughly clean them. Would safe a big headache down the road. While you are at it, do the same for the brakes. 3 cruise is not working open to suggestions on where I should start for that? Maybe a fuse, switch in the clutch or brake handle or foot brake switch. 4 coolant leak— the owner before me laid the motorcycle over twice and the crash bar cracked the tube going to the water pump, so how do I find part numbers and parts for these bikes? https://www.yamahasportsplaza.com/oemparts/c/yamaha_motorcycle/parts Or Check out pinwall but don't go to Bikebandit, they are out of business. 5 brakes— the front brake works great but the sight glass is broken— rear brakes don’t work the best so I will bleed them is there anything special I need to do to bleed it? As mentioned, I would take both cylinder off and clean them first, then refill with fresh fluid.
  16. Maybe best put it back in the drawer, doesn't look as good as it did last time you had it out.
  17. Might have something to do with the return cable adjustment or routing.

You could have told Phantom Wife that seeing as you were already in KW you might as well make a visit to the Rooster, get a free coffee and so make the trip more worthwhile and less expensive. She might have seen the value in that.
  21. All our grandkids and great grandkids have one, just to be able to get their goodies from grandma on Dec 05, Sinterklass.
  22. Seems like my memory says that you need to drill out the shifter and then insert a bushing,,,, yep that's my recollection, at least for now.
  23. Finally the wooden shoes show up. Did you redo those as well. Wondered how long we had to wait for them.
