  1. Ohhh he can be helpful, that boy!
  2. Oh Oh, best put your name in for a new residence.
  3. First thing is that as we grow older we change and it never seems to be for the better. I hear that a lot. That doesn't mean that we can't improve from a low spot, it just means we'llnever be younger again. Second and more meaningful: It will depend on where your ache is. I have no butt so always have your issue. Can't sit on a wooden chair for long or a MC seat for more than 1 hr without getting a sore butt. On my 85 I removed the seat cover and then discovered where my butt bones resided. That's where I gouged out two holes to re-leave the pressure on those bones, one on either side. Much better!
  4. But if you email him he just may send send you instruction. It's not that hard to do.
  5. If you use the solid type it won't leak so bad when it's sitting,,, at least so I have heard. And @saddlebum all you need to do to get it in the crankcase is to warm it up. On the tire question? May I suggest you get a round one with some tread left on it? It would be helpful if it held air as well I suppose.
  6. Could be the relay. Did you check the fuses with a multi meter, or just look at them?
  7. I would go for the air filters first. They need to be there and need to be clean.
  8. Nice scoot boss. Now take some time off to enjoy it.
  9. More important: check the manufacturing dates, recommend no older than 6 years.
  10. I would say that a large part of our problem today lies in the fact that the vast majority of the young ones are raised in cities where there is only schooling to give them an education. Previous generations had the privilege of a lot of us being raised in the country where experience taught us a lot and we grew up making mistakes that were good lessons for future experiences. Good for those kids whose parents stay with the program, realize the short comings of city living\apartment dwelling and stay on a program that educates the next generation properly. That is not an easy job and takes more than constant consistent input and involvement as well as dedicated for-site.
  11. I'm thinking it's your computer, had that a few weeks ago as well, took forever, until windows updated. Try clearing your cache maybe?
  12. I hate to add a 'while you're at it' but if you are going to remove the flywheel then the starter clutch would be open and available for an upgrade.
  13. 12v is a dead battery and what happens is that when you have something turned on and there is just barely enough juice to run that, then when you turn on something else there is not enough to run everything and the computer shuts own on low voltage, as demonstrated by the dimming of the clock when you turned on the signals.
  14. Be sure to get one that fits and not too short for your legs.
  15. I'm thinking that higher learning just makes people more stupid sometimes. It kind of depends on the mode of learning, but often times times folks get to learn how to speak better, reason differently, debate things and so on. In the end they get so good at it that along with trying to convince others that they are right they even confuse themselves into thinking that what they are standing for actually makes sense and will pass for truth. I would rather us all be a bunch of dummies, but be able to believe what we hear and deal with each other on a level and honest basis.
  16. Looks like maybe something went BANG. One of those backfires too much.
  17. I miss me, like I miss me at that place last night.
  18. Go where He leads and you will be guided by the best.
  19. That's where friends come in handy.
  20. They want you cleaned up and showered before meeting everybody. Good first impressions you know!
  21. This post will get lost in this forum, best ask the question in the Watering Hole.
  22. Nothin better than QUIET. Gives a person time to think their own thoughts.
  23. 13.5 with the engine running is not out of norm. I would check connections first. Let the battery sit overnight and then check the voltage, it should be at 12.6 for a full battery, 12.2 is a dead battery.
