  1. I don't think that will fit an 86up. Only good for 83-85 if I'm right.
  2. Really. How many colours were you thinking,,,,, I got burnt orange!
  3. Glad you like it and hope it serves you well. May you be blessed enough to enjoy riding for a few more years. It does look nice and shiny!
  4. Take it off, clean real well, let it dry, spray with hair spray and put back on immediately.
  5. Will continue to you two in our thoughts and conversations with our Lord and Master, so that whatever comes your way you will be able to find blessings even though.
  6. How much research did it take to figure that one out?
  7. Had a good time yesterday, grocery shopping in the morning, met with a motley bunch for coffee and ice cream, went for a ride, had a nap and then spent the evening at a tractor truck pull. Thanks for all the pictures Phil, helps to keep memories alive. Good to see all you guys, even though I don't have a deep tan.
  8. Seeing as it's been sitting for quite some time, I think you'll find that the rear wheel cylinder might be hanging up.
  9. Two things can cause this to happen. One is that the rear reservoir is too full and when it heats up there won't be enough space the brake fluid to go, so the pads don't release completely and cause more heat. This can usually be fixed opening the rear bleeder screw. Second, there is a weeeee little return hole in the MC and if it gets plugged then the same thing will happen, more than likely your issue by what you said about the white stuff. The ix would be to clean and flush the whole rear system, a lot of work but I think you may have had a puddle of water residing in the system. Do this sooner than later.
  10. It's my plan!
  11. Time to get out the multi-meter and a schematic.
  12. Starting a new thread might get you more replies.
  13. That's what I see as well. Now that is at 175rpm with throttles wide open. 220 makes sense I think.
  14. You can stick around, if for no other reason than for your in-depth MC research and knowledge.
  15. In MHO the left ones are running rich or not getting a complete burn. The ones on the right look good. So that could be part of the issue, but I think there is more hamburger in the pattie, somewhere.
  16. Don't know anything about capacitors or resistors or anything like that, but enjoyed you way of putting things so that I couldn't quit reading until the last word was spelled out. Keep up the communication.
  17. Yep! I knew this time was coming. I'm more of a futurist rather than an historian, and we all get older and loose some of the things we hold dear. Loosing the leadership of this site would be a real downer for you Don, you've done a wonderful job of keeping things on track and moving. Those of us who are or have been members can be nothing but super thankful in being able to share together, guide each other, feel sorrow and happiness, develop friendships and help out with misunderstandings. Through your dedication a lot was accomplished. I, for one, would hate to see this site go down or anywhere else, but I also full well realize that all things will come to an end. Blessings my friend, as you dig through this one, it won't be an easy task. Seek much guidance from the Leader, the King of kings and Lord of lords. Romans 8:28
  18. I would just rewire the kill switch and see what happens. Could be that sometime pinched those wires, like maybe the triple tree?
  19. Maybe recheck your numbers from scratch.
  20. Best off using the slippery stuff that they get out of the ground now-a-days, just check that it's not too slippery or the clutch will have issues, maybe.
  21. Sorry for your loss, go share some memories.
  22. You're doing great Mr Freebird!!
  23. Sad day,,, but your future is super bright!
  24. I don't have any problems with all this,,,it's simple: whatever she says means: tell me what to do and I'll get it done..... end of story.
