I use the tallest Baggershield (think it is 17 inches) and look through it. Love it since I am sitting in a perfectly calm environment. No buffeting. Helmets are full face flip Nolans. Really like them Nolans.

Great job and wow,,,they came out nice. Next winter I will do mine. Have all the compounds and wheels, just don´t want to tear the bike apart right now since the riding season has just started. Would be nice to see a picture when both forks are polished and installed on bike. Outstanding work

Well,,,,,,I miss Vicky and I kinda miss your dog.

Yes. You would have to take them off to do the carb sync. It only takes about a couple of minutes to take them off and another couple minutes to put it on.

O.K. we are getting there. 4 ordered - 6 to go

Looking forward seeing you and Steamer in August. Will you be at Freebirds MD in May ? You forgot your present last year so I took it back home. Will bring Kristjan the Viking again to Toms. Just keep him this time would you please ? Costing me a fortune to ship him back and forward every year !

There is nothing cut into the cover. Only boltholes and cutouts for choke knob, idle adjustment screw and fuel hose. The Yamaha Emblem is a 3D sticker that you can put anywhere you like. These sticker can be bought on eBay but I have a few extra and can supply you with one if you like. The light on the other hand I would strongly advice you to get yourself if you want to have a light. If I supply it I have to import it to Iceland first and pay custom fees and so forth. Would be more than double price or around 30 US$. You can get it on eBay for $10 and they have free shipping to USA.

Sadly to my knowledge there is no 1st Gen in Iceland so I could not fab up a set for you. Still if I see one I will give you a shout and let you know One signed up - nine to go

Greetings fellow members I have finally reached an agreement with the producer here in Iceland for the custom Chrome (mirror Steel) Carb covers that also close up that ugly gap between the cylinders. Now I have thought about this for a while regarding if I should offer these with the lights readily installed or without them (see pictures in earlier thread: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?100452-New-custom-carb-cover-chrome-finally-done-! ). After calculating the costs for importing the lights to Iceland and pay custom fees I have come to the conclusion that it will be much more expensive to go that way. There are all kinds of lights out there and I think that it is a better idea that those of you who might want to put these covers on your bikes can just choose the lights you would want or/and any decoration, and also that way we will not all have the same setup - More fun in my eyes. On the other hand if somebody insists to have these lights with the covers I will of cause do it but you can do it yourself for half the price and save at least $15. Someone asked me if I could skip cutting out the Yamaha fork logo but to put things straight then this is not a cut out thing. This is simply a 3D sticker I found on eBay. So to get the manufacturer to get going I need at least 10 firm orders. Here are the prices for the set and also what is included: 1. 4 pcs. specially made spacers: $8,77 2. 4 pcs. bolts: $5,23 3. 1 pair of covers: $173 Item Price: $187 Shipping to USA / Canada: $36 Total with shipping: 223 US$ Shipping is calculated by Iceland Post Web site. If I can cut the shipping down then that is what you pay. If it is higher then I will cover it - I hate shipping prices !!! So lets see if we get 10 orders to get this on the road. Ask and you shall receive ( pics of Brenners project)

Looks great ! Daring color and fits the bike. Great job ! -
I have custom made Corbins on my bike and have to say that I was ready to tear them off after the first 500 miles or so. Decided to hang on a little longer and guess what. After around 1200 miles they really feel good and my butt does not hurt at all after a long days ride. I will admitt though that the Yamaha seats are VERY comfortable and do not need any riding in - and the pillow tops look very nice.

Right after Easter I will have the price ready with all options regarding lights and so forth. I will send a PM to those here above that have said they would like to have a set and then one can make up his mind. I will also post a new order thread. So stay tuned

Talked to the manufacturer today and he told me that he has gone on Easter Holiday abroad. We will meet after Easter to discuss prices and manufacturing. Will send everybody interested a PM as well as post on the forum when I have all details finalized with prices. Be safe, Jonas

Well here is the story about the production: There is a company here in Iceland close to my home that make all kinds of custom work out of any kind of steel available. These are made out of mirror steel. The owners of the company are father and son and they have very sophisticated machines like laser cutter, high tech bending machines and so forth, The son Gretar is a motorcycle guy and owns two V-Max bikes and some others. He has made some custom things for me in the past three years and has been very reasonable price vice but still this mirror steel is quite expensive. He has made a AutoCad drawing of these cylinder pieces for his cutting machine with all the holes included and so forth so it is ready for production anytime. I have not paid for these since when I picked them up he told me that he had no idea how much and told me to drop by the coming Wednesday and then he would have a price ready. I would estimate that the pair would run somewhere close to 200 US$ and that is without the lights. I will also have to have some inserts made that go between the chrome piece and the carburator and the bolts run through. These are to keep the covers at the right distance from the carbs. I had a pair since they came with the Yamaha carb covers that were on the bike (these are available if anybody is interested but without the inserts). The last thing that I have to fab is a small angle iron to fasten the bottom part of the piece so it will not rattle. When I have done all this and gotten the price for the pair I will post and give a total cost. I will also supply idiot proof installation guide for this. I will not add anything to the total price - these will be available to anybody that wants to cough up the money for the raw production price. The lights are available at eBay in different colors so one can choose the one that fits the color of his/hers bike.EBay Item number 251895393440 or put this in the eBay search Bar: Motorcycle RED LED Rear Fender Custom Badge Light 3D Sticker Emblem For YAMAHA The only thing with these lights that I did not like was that they are open on the front so I had a glass maker cut out a circular glass that fitted in the inside and I just put some silicone to make it weather proof. So the bottom line is that I will supply everything except the lights and give you a price as soon as I have everything figured out. Thanks for your nice comments - Stay tuned

Congrats Don. That is an awesome pair. They seem like brand new. Enjoy

Well, after many templates and prototypes I have finally finished making a custom Chrome cover for the gap between the cylinders. Added some lights to it and am pretty happy with the outcome. Took some thinking and small modifications to get the choke knob in the middle since it is a little offset originally. Gonna wire this up permanently next weekend. Made two sets - One for my bike and one for Kristjan´s bike that I am rebuilding for him. But this is how it looks ! What do you think ? Mass production http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Cylinder%20Chrome/SAM_3013_zpssnz4tukk.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Cylinder%20Chrome/SAM_3014_zps3tk4l5bh.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Cylinder%20Chrome/SAM_2992_zpsdsovuvy5.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Cylinder%20Chrome/SAM_2991_zpsv3ax9niz.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Cylinder%20Chrome/SAM_3012_zpsiyxoyww9.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Cylinder%20Chrome/SAM_3009_zpswinfoa93.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Cylinder%20Chrome/SAM_3028_zpss9r04cyy.jpg

I used the Carbon One plug in harness and they are great. Simple Plug and Play, well made and fit nicely. Only way to go in my opinion !
