  1. I´ve bought two covers from "Gorilla covers" on eBay for my Royal Star Tour Classic and my former Virago XV1100. Excellent fit and the material is thick and the workmanship excellent. The only one I would by if I needed one. Did earlier buy a cheap Chinese cover but was very dissapointed to say the least. The moral,,,,,,, pay a little more and get a better and longer lasting merchandise in most cases. Didn´t the man say,,,,, You get what you pay for!
  2. Well you have a point. Bit I think Iowawegian should ask the kid and show him this discussion. Then everybody will be happy - Me, You, The Kid and Iowawegian. (Ohhhh,,, I am so clever,,,,,,)
  3. Well he said rider seat though !?
  4. Think I found it! This is most likely what he is talking about - you can see it at this website or you can google it this way - YZF R6 seat cover: http://www.1tail.com/sa/c/Luimoto_Seat_Covers.htm?gclid=CP2ps-7ChJcCFQhuMAodRV_rXQ
  5. A fiberglass cover for the riders seat ???? Ask him what is the purpose of this cover. That might shed some light. Maybe it is for storage or to cover the seat when it is raining or something:think:
  6. This is one of the meanest implants I have ever seen! :rotf: Is Harry Glassman a friend of yours? ( . ) ( . )
  7. Hey Squidley. I´ll be there. You can change it back and forward - I don´t care. You gotta find a better way to get rid of me
  8. Thanks Tom. Just trying to hang in there :hihi:
  9. Like I said -The man is a genius
  10. What do you do with all that money?
  11. Why are you trying to scare him away?
  12. Well Squeeze. There is this saying about bad drinks,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
  13. Hey Freebird. Went down to my airline company to change the dates on my flight tickets for the Maintenance Day. Turned out that changing the dates was not a big issue with paying a small fee but the thing was that I could not get a flight back home from the US after nine days like in my earlier booking. Have to stay for twelve days. And what does that mean Don ? More riding time Don - More riding time ! Don you are a genius Now I only have to pick the right time to tell the Warden
  14. Hey Steve. What do you guys in the US call it,,,,,,,,Discriminating or something like that. Guess we international guys are not in the picture huu,,, My feelings are so hurt:crying: Guess me and Squeeze have to make a special patch with the insignia: Discriminated Star Riders
  15. When you drain the tank make sure you also drain the carbs as well as the fuel sitting in the fuel filter container. Then before filling up with fresh gas fill upp the fuel filter container with Seafoam. The Seafoam then go through the carbs before the fresh fuel hits them and at least clean some of the stuff that might be sitting in the carbs. If you only drain the old gas and fill up with new and then run the motor then you might experience no change if clogged carbs are the problem or a part of the problem. By doing it this way then you are tackling two problems at once - that is - clogged carbs as well as bad fuel. Just my two cents worth or the way I would do it. Wish you luck and keep us posted on the result.
  16. Do I need to ??????????
  17. Great sound to say the least. Now I will only have to find the right way to make my 1998 USA based Royal Star Tour Classic make that deep nice rumble. It has the stock muffler and I do think it sounds a little like a Piaggio Vespa. Never seen the bike and never heard it. Kind of a bonus on my USA trip seeing the bike for the first time - You guys are of cause the main thing for sure.
  18. Squidley ! You know of anybody that has a time machine. Would like to rent it for a couple of days! :178::178:
  19. Well now it is the 16th. of November and this morning I was able to book a room at the Oberlin Inn. The lady said that almost any man that called was booking a room as a VR.ORG member. The 20 rooms are long gone but for some unclear reason they are still booking rooms for the special rate. So if any of you guys need a room then get off your butt and call the Oberlin Inn and make a reservation while they are still in a good mood. Is it May yet ???????????? Is it May yet ?????????????? Is it May yet ???????????? Is it May yet ?????????????????? Is it May yet ??????????? Is it May yet ??????????????? Is it May yet ????????????? WHY ISINNIT MAY YET :bang head:
  20. Dear Earl and Jean. Thank you so much for your genorous offer. I will send you a P.M. in ten minutes!
  21. Interesting. What brand is the horn? I collect vintage woodwind instruments but still have not found an ancient enough tuba. Will find it next time I go to Paris France. Do you collect or just play?
  22. Come to think of it - there was something fishy about this whole thing
  23. Hey Salty. Noticed on the calendar that you will only attend one rally next year and you are not sure what rally to pick. Well,,,, you´ve got friends here and we are all willing to help you out so don´t worry. We have already decided that you will go for "Freebirds Maintenance Day"! Thats what friends are for - helping each other. Now you wont have any sleepless nights wondering about what to do - just have a beer and relax and send us warm thoughts for figuring this out for you. O.K.,,,,O.K.,,,,, I´ll admit it - I just want to meet Krome Rose
  24. Thanks Tom for offering me to sleep over - that is very nice of you. I might hold you up on that one but I do not know my plans from day to day but I will surely be in contact and let you know when I arrive. Would be nice to meet you on the way to Ohio or ride with you guys. When you say that you are in Western NY - is that western part of the state or Western part of New York city? Anyhow - thank you all for your nice suggestions and warm welcome. Again - can not express how much I look forward to this. Now - I do need some route suggestions from Woodstock to Oberlin. Plan to take my time and prefer the backroads. Have done some routing on Google Earth and on the North America map on my computer (Zumo 550) but have no clue if I am picking a good way or not. One last question: What is the difference between "Interstate", "Highway", and "RT" roads (how many lanes, traffic to expect and so forth)? I do know that the interstate is the biggest road with most likely the heaviest traffic but not to sure about the other two.
  25. O.K. - You guys just bring me the Pond Monster and I will teach it a lesson or two and retrieve the Gazeboo and any other valuable things in it´s posession. Squeeze! Let me know if you ever plan a trip with the Ferry. I have an old farm not to far away from Seydisfjordur even though my home is in Reykjavik. So you will have a place to stay on both corners of the country. Would be great to have you. Just remember to bring some wrenches if the bike brakes down like: 7/16 and 7/8 and 15/16:stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot:
