  3. Enjoy your turkeys. I´m off to bed. With my luck today I will most likely be discriminated there also. Ohhh,,, just forgot. If any of you would like some "Star Riders Iceland" patches then I can get you some for a fair price. :stirthepot: Happy Thanksgiving !
  4. There we go again. Another member walking over me in his dirty shoes. A International Venture Day ??? Sure, you guys go ahead and have fun. We Royal Star Tour Classic owners will just sit at home and watch TV while you´r at it. Phewww,,,,,,,, Where the heck are the administrators of this site. I demand that this discriminating thread to be deleted instantly or I will,,,,uhhhhhhhhhh,,,,,,,,,mmmmmmmmmmm,,,,,,, do something.
  5. Well I am sure you would also have a "Beer Day" if beer had been banned in your country from 1915 till 1989. You would probably have a beer day every day. And,,,, I am coming over to USA next spring and am gonna drink all your beer,Hahhhh,,,,,,
  6. Once again I am being discriminated. Dragonrider rubbing it in that we don´t have a Thanksgiving holiday in Iceland. The other day somebody advertised: Star riders USA patches. Must have been a relative of Dragonrider. Shame on you Dragonrider !!!!!!!!!! - This post should be deleted without a doubt unless this site is all for discrimination,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I am so alone,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
  7. I use Zumo 500. Specially made for motorcycles with all the buttons on the left side and is also has a touch screen. Hooks up to the battery of your bike or a lighter plug for 12v or you can charge the battery and it will last for 4 hours. Very user friendly. I Bluetoothed my phone to the Zumo and then Bluetoothed the Zumo to my helmet. So I can answer the phone with voice demand or touch the screen to answer, and I hear "Suzanne" all the time telling me where to go. And the best thing is - It is all wireless. Has mp3 so I can also listen to music. Love that thing!
  8. Was travelling up in the country here in Iceland and we came to an isolated farm. Living there were three brothers and their Mom. They invited us in for coffee and a chat and it was hilarious to say the least. It was quite clear that they did not get visitors very often since they were just flooding us with all kind of questions and talking without stopping. Then one of them asked us how old we were (we were around 25 at the time and after we had told them I asked them in return how old they were. I will always remember the sincere answer I got: Tomas is 67, Hans is 63, I am 71 but can´t remember how old Mom is but she is older than we are.
  9. Her limit is 60F°. And also she is at school and not coming until after one hour. Would love to have her ride more with me but she decides herself. Stopping by the florist of cause on my way back.
  10. Well, it was raining cats and dogs last night and this morning. So I was going to take it easy tonight and do some chores. But today we had a breezy wind all afternoon and the streets are dry. Temperature is 46 F and nothing to hold me back,,,,,,,Ehhhhh,,, well it is our 13th. anniversary tonight but the misses had a birthday yesterday and I was really nice. Gave her a nice present and did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen and the rest of the house when the guests were gone. Then we went to bed and,,,,,,,,, I fell asleep All dressed up and ready to hit the road. I´ll be super nice to her when I get back home and try to stay awake.
  11. Gee Margaret,,,, You are full of surprises,,,,,,,No more details please,,,,,,,,
  12. Thanks ! I am at peace !
  13. Have to say that this POND is on the top of my list on my ZUMO as "Places Of Interest". Will there be a "POND Hour" where everybody will tell me stories about the famous POND?? Guess Don is in these stories - right? This is getting very exiting to say the least. What about a little "sneak prewiew" for me? Whenever I ask about this pond I kind of get the silent treatment or half told stories like: Well,, Don has had some issues with the Pond and the monsters in it. Come on,,,,,, I´m just dying to hear something !
  14. Shoot. You guys must have some strange tasting chickens in the states. These are actually kept marinated in a sour (and I mean sour) liquid for two months before being served. But it is said to boost up your testestoron. So Tom ! - You want me to DHL some to you ? :hihi:
  15. And here is the dessert !
  16. Hey Tom ! I´ll make sure you wont go hungry. I´ll bring one of the traditional Icelandic dishes for starters. You´ll love it !
  17. Hahhh,,, you guy´s still trying to keep me away from "Freebirds Maintenance Day"! First you change the date and now you change the address. No sir,,,, your not getting rid of me. Went down to the Airline company and changed the ticket one more time and now to Gambia! Did cost a bundle though and took the clerk forever to figure out how to get me there !
  18. Thanks Wizard. I will check if Google Earth has "recalibrate" and post the results. Thanks again.
  19. Sorry Margaret. I´m just in one of these teasy moods today
  20. Ever heard of Bali ?
  21. Eck! They usually outsmart us in the long run. Be careful my friend. Note - they usually know more about our doings than they let us know. And then suddenly - WHAM !! - They hit you when you least expect it. Believe me Been there!
  22. :hihi: :hihi: let me know if you want more !
  23. Hey Dynodon. You got it all wrong. Not intending to put anything from Google Earth into my Zumo. I put the routes I make on the MapSource map software into the Zumo as anybody would do. What I use Google Earth for is to see the landscape on forehand on my computer and one can put Google Earth in "flying mode" for example and fly over the land in 3D vision or ride the routes in 3D - Zoom in or out - pick any perspective one wants and so forth. So - using it as a help tool to make a final decision on programming my routes in the MapSource/Zumo.
  24. Hmmmm,,,, Riding with your Mommy You still live at home ? My Mother doesn´t ride a bike. Great that yours does though. Bet she is one mean motorcycle Mama. :rotf::rotf: Can´t wait to meet her :hihi:
  25. Greetings all! I have a small issue I would like to lay on the table. I have a new Zumo 500 and the MapSource map/software for North America as well as Iceland installed on my computer as well on my memory card in the Zumo. Have been planing some routes from Woodstock twn,NY to Oberlin OH. for my trip to Freebirds Maintenance Day. When I make a route on the map that is stored in my computer I can push a button that says "open in Google Earth". No problem there - it opens in Google Earth but the route does not follow the roads. Just straight lines from each trackpoint to another that I had made in the MapSource. Doesn´t help much if I want to take a ride in 3D on Google Earth to see the landscape I will be riding through. Does anybody know if there is a way around this to make the route follow the roads in Google Earth, previously trackpointed in the MapSource map? Then again - Maybe this is not compatible???? Note that transferring the routes from the computer to my Zumo is no problem and works just fine. Hope you get my drift!
