Come on Big Tom. You are only trying to get her back on her feet so she can cook and clean. But you make sure you take good care of her since if I hear you are not doing that I will come over and (I gotta make friends with the woman Tom so I wont go hungry when I come over in the spring,,,,make sure she or anybody else does not read this O.K.?)........... Glad to hear that you are back on your feet my friend.

Good luck Don. Don´t loose sleep over it though. See you in the spring Time is passing fast ! Now it says 4 months below,,,,,,,,,,,,, BTW. Was thinking about getting Samson mufflers for the USA bike since the originals that are on the bike must be very quiet. If I find some at a decent price would it be O.K. to ship it to your place so I can install them on "Maintenance day" ?

Now that looks just great.

What he said. Personally I think it is a stupid thing to do. Abuses the bike and Al Gore does not like it. Neither do I. Must be other more sane things to do to show ones manlyhood. But - thats just how I feel about it.

Ah ha,,,, Sounds like you mentioned your Icelandic friend to the adjuster Earl. Well done earl. The first offer was just plain insult. Looking forward to see the scoot in the spring.

I aggree with Lynn. It is also my birthday. I noticed somewhere on the site that the official "birth date" of the site was July 21st. 2004. Freebird? Whats your input on this?

Dont see any snow in your pictures so stop whining like a little girl Earl. Put some heat on this adjuster - for me he does not seem to know anything about the cost of spare parts and repair cost. If that wont work then tell him you got this friend in Iceland that will . Say hello to Jean from me. Cant wait to spend some time with her in the kitchen.

Vmax engine for my 1985

Hey Lynn. What is this thing about not registering. Usually these forums are pretty safe and you can decide on getting - or not getting newsletters, exposing your email address and so forth. I am a member of many forums even though I do not frequently visit them and I never get any emails from them since I kept my email address out of my profile and marked an x with "no Newsletter" and so forth. If they are handing out email lists then they usually tell about it in the disclaimer. Just a thought - I am sure you have your reasons. -
Greetings. Had a Virago 1100 1998 for one season and loved the bike. Will always regret selling it but could not in any way convince the warden that it was O.K. to have two bikes in the same garage. Sold it to a good friend of mine and still get to take it for a spin every now and then. Before I bought the bike I did a thorough research on the good and bads of the Virago through the production years of 1990 to 1999. The only bad thing I could read about in general was the starter. Almost every Virago thread where the issue was "problems" mentioned the faulty starter. After talking to numerous Virago owners I found out that Yamaha promised every year that the starter problem had been fixed but majority of the experts (in USA and Britain) said it was finally in the production year of 1997 that the Virago had a solid, reliable starter. Don´t think I ever investigated what it was that they changed or if they redesigned the starter. I do know that the starter in my 1998 is still in top shape but the bike still only has about 4.500 miles on it. I will try to look up some of the threads I was reading and forward the links to you if you like.

Chocolate covered ants downtown LA where the illegal Mexican immigrants used to drink and dine. One of the filthiest joint I have ever been in but the original Mexican food was to die for (not counting the ants). Don´t think that restaurant was licenced though.,,,,,,

Dear Ramona and Gerald. If my previous post made you feel that I was accusing you in any way of not being tolerate, forgiving and understanding to your X son in law then I ask you to forgive me. It was not the intention in any way. For me it is sometimes a little difficult to find the right words to express my meaning since I am not writing in my native language and my intention was merely to remind us all to have it in our hearts to forgive and believe in the good in people. It was not ment to state that I thought you were not good, forgiveable and tolerate people. Like I said "I did not know the full story" and foolishly thought that my writing would be understood in that way that I was talking "in general" so to speak. Every situation is different from the next and I fully agree that your x son in law would have to have a miracle landing on his shoulders to change his way of thinking/living. My heart goes out to you regarding your and your familys misfortune and I sincerely hope that time will help heal your wounds. I do understand that you are not ready to forgive this unfortunate person and it is of cause true that the person in question would of cause have to show some signs of remorse and some effort to becoming a better person or at least try to, to be forgiven. I hope that I have managed to express my meaning a little more clearly. You and your family are in my prayers and I will also pray for your x son in law. God knows he needs it.

Squidleys bike is the number one bike for sale. Lets all promote Squidleys bike as the number one bike for sale and after his bike is gone then we can post info on other bikes. I am sure that his bike is the best deal one can get. No offense regarding previous info from "frankd",- sure he was just wanting us all to know about a good deal and did not know about Squidleys bike.

Well i do not know the saying in English but it goes somehow like this; He who lives in a glass house should not throw stones! I do not know the story behind this but I do believe that we all have our bads and goods. We all deserve a chance in live after we have done wrongs and any person that has shown a bad side has a good side also. What I am trying to say is that forgiveness and understanding and believing that there is a good thing in every person is a good thing to have in mind. Pleasae do not take it that way that I am trying to defend the person in question - all I am saying is that we all deserve a chance. I do know that I have done bad things in my live and there are things I would like to have done differently but I can not go back to past and make my doings differently. Still I try to be a better person every day. Forgiveness, understanding and tolerance is the key in life in my eyes. Nobody is perfect and I ask for forgiveness every day since I know that I can always do better than I have done. Kind of hard to try to make a statement in another language than my native language but I hope that you get my drift. Forgiveness is the key in my life for sure and I am fighting every day to try to live up to it. It is a hard thing to do for sure.

Now I am all confused. After submitting this thread I reloaded the home page of VR.org and it was all back to normal and the same old look. I have not been drinking and am not taking any medication at the moment and am pretty stable mentally at the moment (at least by my judgement). O.K. I´ll pay the shrink a visit tomorrow just in case.

Nice to see that the Boss has upgraded the site. One thing I don´t like though is that I got little X´s in all the small boxes all over the page. What´s up with that:confused07: Can I fix this or is this a bug on the web site? Maybe I need to install a "active X" software or something . Am I the only one seeing this?

Hey PJ. Isn´t there some kind of a bureau of vehicles in your country/state that can give you ownership record of your vehicles? Well, at least here in Iceland we can go down to the vehicle office and get a full ownership history of any vehicle one owns. All we have to do is to show registration papers that state that we own the vehicle. This must be possible in USA - or maybe this gets complicated when vehicles are sold between states? BTW. - Should I stop by your place so we can ride together over to BigTom´s for Freebirds Maintenance Day ?

Will this one do ? :hihi:
