  1. Great looking and a great sound. Have to get a set of these for my Red Baron. Rev it !
  2. Thanks Bob. Don´t worry about the link. Water under the bridge so to speak
  3. Hi Bob. Was just wondering,,,,Did you ever figure out a price for polishing the wheel rims ?
  4. I have used the 404´s white wall on all my Royal Stars and have to say I like these tires very much. But that is just my opinion and experience.
  5. Jeff ! There is no such thing as to much Black Death
  6. Sent Sickspeed an email asking if / when these horns would be available again in Chrome. Lets see if they answer. I will post info when/if I get an answer.
  7. Man that is one nice bike. You got me thinking,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Gotta talk to the Boss,,,,,, Did you ask when / if this would be available again in chrome ?
  8. My 1998 Royal Star Tour Classic was done with the engine in. The section in the upper frame beside the top of the carburator is bolted and can be removed, thus giving space for the heads and carbs to be removed. No need to remove the engine from the frame. After trying my bike for the first time after having the 32mm Venture carbs and the V-Max cams and stiffer springs installed I have to say that I was more than impressed. It is a whole different bike and will leave a 80 foot black mark on the road if you are not careful. That bike is really fast to say the least. Lets not talk about gasmileage though
  9. Bob, you think to much. Think you need to catch up on the Black Death !
  10. Yeh,,,I see it know when looking closer at the fairing. Still a nice bike to say the least. What about some pictures of that beautiful bike ? Be safe SilvrT !
  11. Dang,,,, Did not think about that. Will have to add some horns somewhere front turning forward Thanks for the compliment Silvrt . Well,,,,,ehhhhhh,,,,you see I get bored in the wintertime. Honestly the thing is that I like to have and ride a bike that is not identical to everybody elses bike. It find it amusing to ride something special that you have put work into yourself and done some small custom changes. And I also enjoy sharing the info if someone wants to do that to his or hers bike. I do ride my bikes but sadly not nearly as much as I would like, since I work abroad and have very little time on my hands when I am home to ride my Venture (Red Baron). The green 1998 Tour Classic (Maximus) I keep in USA and I only get to ride that bike once a year and maybe put 1.500 to 2.000 miles on it when lucky. Big Tom takes care of keeping the beast alive by riding to work and so forth but the last I heard was that snow will finally melt in his area in late september so I guess he is not gonna do much riding this year. Summer in the Buffalo area where Big Tom and Bongobob live will most likely be on a Wednesday this year I am told The Red Baron I actually just got home to Iceland late October last year, from USA, and I took it in to my workshop to go through it all and make sure it was in good shape. Found odds and ends that I did not like and decided to use the winter to make it like new and change everything that had some wear to it, all fluids, some bearings like in the swingarm and the one in the clutch plate , upgraded the clutch, and the list goes on and on. And of cause spice it up a little - just got a few little odds and ends to tie up and the bike will be like I want it to be and will be ridden as much as time allows - and I do ride in the rain Read in a book that motorcycles were supposed to be used outside ! Am having a small custom paint done to the speaker grills and some other small items and that will be ready on Thursday. Am also anxiously waiting for Corbin to send me back my custom upholstered seats and backrests. When that is all in my hands I will be completely done and can just ride and enjoy,,,,,untill I come up with some more bling and custom work,,,,,,,, And by the way - Your Victory Vision with the touring trunk is actually the number one favourite bike of mine. Have been thinking about getting one of these for a long time but am somehow not getting a permission from the Boss. And it is RED ! Can´t get any better ! Only two Victory Visions in Iceland ! I should have the third one !
  12. Bobby - You are forgiven my friend
  13. Thanks Puc for the compliments. Regarding the bottle - If you are referring to the one reflecting in the chrome of the floorboard then this is a plastic bottle of 1/2 liter of Coca Cola
  14. Thanks for the info. Have no idea if that trailer hitch is 5 or 4 wire - will have to look tomorrow. I am in contact with Steve and he has offered to send me this wire harness and guide me through this. Can not for the life of mine understand how this works without having an extra wire from the light bar for the brake lights but if you guys say it will work then I know it will. Me and electricity,,,,,,,well, need the background to understand these things even though I usually scrabble my way through it. Thank you all for the input and all the help - Highly apreciated. You guys are the best. Be safe, Jonas / StarFan
  15. Have a look at the thread I posted today called: Custom Fit Light Bar - http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?threadid=84840 Bought the light bar from Super Bright Leds for $29:95 plus shipping. There are pictures of the install in the thread. http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/id-bars/braketurn-light-bar-tlb-r11/1027/2482/
  16. Watch out Dion. The white one is white - It is not Chrome. If you want the chrome one then send the seller a request for the Chrome one. I am sure they have them and would supply. I bought mine from a eBay seller that has the user name: autostars_inc He shipped very fast and was very reasonable on shipping fees to Iceland but I can not say that about most eBay sellers.
  17. O.K. Bobby lets make a deal. You supply me with this adapter as well as complete detailed instructions on how to make this work and I will send you a bottle of that world famous,,,,,,,,
  18. And please add StarFan (Jonas) for the bezels
  19. Have been looking at some light bar to put below the trunk on my Red Baron. After looking at some offered for the bike I decided to buy one from "Super Bright Leds" that is a little wider than others I have seen and not specially made for the Venture. Did need a back plate to be made but that was easy - had it made from stainless mirror steel. Really like the looks of the bar but the only drag is that you can only wire it as the following options: 1. Running lights and turn signals. 2. Running lights and brake lights. At least I can not find a way to do it in that way that I get running lights, turn signals as well as braking light since there are only three wires for the hookup + the ground wire, that is one for each turn signal and one for the running light. By hooking the turn signal wires to the brake light I get brake light instead of turn signals and vice versa.. Since I have the Harley brake lightbar installed I opted for the turn signals. Made the hookup that way that I can switch it over from turn signals to brake lights if I decide to chance it - plug and play. What I like about this is that it is surrounded by Chrome, (have I mentioned that I like Chrome) the bar is a little wider (longer) than the other ones I have seen and also the backing plate I had made adds a little shine to it. Also made some spacers to put between the helmet locks where you fasten the backing plate to bring the bar out a little further. Am also having a box made that goes into the space between the tubings in the Harley brake light bar (where the number plate is supposed to be). That will bring the number plate out a little further and also I will use the box to install connectors for all the wiring harness that is cramped into that little Chrome bezel behind the number plate bracket. Never liked this - space is much to small for all these wires and hardly any space if you add some accessories that need extra wires. Will post pictures when that is done - in progress. http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Light%20bar/Before_zpsaadbfb78.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Light%20bar/1Lightbar_zpsa4b03587.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Light%20bar/2Lightbar_zpsf0414a16.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Light%20bar/led-tail-brake-turn-light-bar-TLB-R11_size600_zps3c2b0619.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Light%20bar/SAM_2269_zps2863a5f9.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Light%20bar/3Lightbar_zps6270c16d.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Light%20bar/4Lightbar_zpseb3b6ab2.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Light%20bar/5Lightbar_zps10712170.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Light%20bar/6Lightbar_zps64c2cf8f.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Light%20bar/7Lightbar_zpsd4bb7a65.jpg
  20. StarFan

    Strike

Well, me, Brad Pitt, Richard Gere and Batman have a picture of her by our bedside table !
  21. They came with a mounting strip that worked fine ! Bought them used on eBay. You can get them at any Yamaha dealer ! Not a problem ! The original Yamaha one has a chromed plastic cover that does not melt so I am sure this one will be O.K. Also the exhaust has a heat shield that protects the surrounding areas.
  22. Hi Barry. Just put "Sick Speed Horn" in the search tab on eBay, Forgot to mention that they also come in all kind of colours. Funny enough there are no plain chrome ones listed at the moment but I am sure one can ask the seller for one.
  23. Had been thinking about adding air horns to my bike but found a nice looking electrical horn on eBay that was stated to give 118 db and for only $20,95 a piece so I was ready to give it a try so I bought two of these. Did not really expect this to be loud enough and had doubts about the quality but to my surprise these are sturdy made horns and very loud. Was gonna keep the original horn hooked up that is hidden in the front lower fairing but removed the one that is on the right side of the bike. But the electrical hookup/current was not enough to drive three at once so I cut both original horns out and hooked up the two Sick Speed horns. Did not want to go into the trouble to reroute the whole wiring thing from horn button to battery to relay to horn, get enough power to drive three horns. Am very happy with the result - the horns are very loud and I think it looks good on the bike. Also they are CHROMED. I love CHROME Here are some pictures of the horns installed on the bike. http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/SAM_2197_zps12baf56f.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Horn/2Horn_zpseb5363c2.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Horn/1Horn_zps6535672a.jpg
