Larry, If you don't sell those brackets, I'm going to purchase from you. Mike's bike had those broken. Thanks Carlos -
Agree about Firefox, and check your computer for MalWare attacks.

If somebody has doubts you can check your DNS with http://www.dns-ok.us. Site is supported by the FBI and is a fair indicator, except your ISP has problems too. Good Luck.

Cable are really cheap. Needs to be adjusted to minimize the VWSR that is all.

Overheating 83 Venture
calperin replied to bostonlawman2003's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
An old trick was to have a switch to bypass the sending unit, and power the fan all that you want to ride cooler. Another thing to have in mind is to be sure that there is no leaks. That is one of the main reasons for start to get higher temps, air on the circuit. :225::225::225::225: -
Georges, I remember that somebody from the group a couple of years ago, also replace the front wheel for a narrow wide and he was totally happy with that. Also, he was really shorter than me, so I'm confident that if the lower links are there, everything will be fine. I know what you mean about the fact of the RS being much lighter to ride than the VR 84. I have the same feeling with my RS97 Thanks,
-
XV1100SE, Actually the only reason why I carried my VR84 is because I didn't ride it since I purchase the RS97. Then yesterday I found a valve issue on the front tire, and trying to move it with the front tire flat it was a really big adVENTURE... That is what it make me think about what about the new one... :confused24::confused24::confused24::confused24::confused24:

Buddy, How tall are you? I'm about 5' 8". Never had problems with my knees, but I remember that trying to move the First Gen was a pain when engine not runs. That is by know my concern. According with the manual the 97 RS is around 700 lbs, but it seems to be lighter than that. And moving it or trying to raise it with the crash bars doesn't seem to be a big issue. I 'm most concern on stops. However, it comes with the lower level link, and that is supposed to make it lower. Is that correct?
-
Ok, thanks. I'll going to need to exercise my muscles then... Actually, the only problem is if the bike don't run trying to move it. I have to get my AAA up to date...
-
Since I never had the chance to really carry it, and finished to purchased one this is the big detail I forget on this: HOW HEAVY IS THE 2ND GEN IN COMPARATION WITH THE 1ST GEN? I know that is much heavier than my 1997 RS, but don't know the difference.
-
Safety??? What for? If one dies, there are plenty more...

I have a question since I'm on the migration from 1st Gen to 2nd Gen: Are the headsets from the 1st Gen working on the 2nd Gen? or I need to purchase new ones? What about the J&M for the 2003? Thanks, :confused24:

I like that Idea. If I can make my carbs back to work, I'll consider it. If not, may be for the next bike....- 6 replies

Do you think that he will take trades? It sounds interesting...

Ok, Guys don't exasperate!!!! Now we know why he is driving a CB 750.... Our payment is nothing in retribution of what we got from all our people around. Ah, don't forget the cost of maintenance for the monster of the pound, that we only can watch once or twice a year... But still, you don't need to pay. Just finish your trial. Ah, we don't have a section for CBs...
