    Intro

Welcome Dan, I am fairly new here also and I think you'll find this an amazing site of very friendly and talented people.
  2. Congrats, I am new the V-Four world also and mine has exceeded my expaecatations also, I can tell ya that!!! Ride safe!
  3. That's a big help thanks folks!! Especially thanks to Brakepad, he saw this, looked up my number, called me from South Florida and faxed me the tech article, this place is truly amazing!
  4. When backing my new Venture with only 700 miles on it out of the garage tonight it was making a clicking sound coming from the back when rolling backwards, is this normal? Also thought I heard a little click click click when I was pulling back into the driveway tonight. Any thoughts??
  5. I resemble that remark, just hunted hi and low for a 3X helmet.
  6. Anybody running the above in their 7" black opaque summer shield? If so do you have a picture on your bike with it?
  7. I had turned my friend "Wrench" on to a deal on a Venture, about a year later I was looking at one and he turned me on to this site, and MAN AM I GLAD HE DID!! You folks are awesome!
  8. Be interested in hearing what he has to say!
  9. There may be a couple of us from KY heading that way for Don's gathering. At least that is the plan this far out. One from E-town and myself from LaGrange FYI....
  10. That really looks good Jmac, nice job!
  11. Deb and I even have the patch "Ride to Eat / Eat to Ride":big-grin-emoticon:
  12. You bet we will buddy! I come up you way on occassion as well, I have a salemans who work out of a sales office in Elkhart, and I visit a few times a year. So sounds like there is a good chance I will at least be able to at least cross your two's path!!
  13. Sounds good that's our plan this Sunday also, point and shoot. Ever ride down to Madison IN? Nice little summer time destination right on the river, quaint little town, lots of nice resturants. We're not to far from there on the Kentucky side.

Very cool:cool10: Someone dumped some cash into that shoot!!
  15. You'd be welcome anytime my friend!! Although it might be easier just to meet ya in Indy sometime this summer. I work for a company out on the NW side around 86th and 465 so I am up there frequently. Hopefully some of those will be on the bike this Summer. So maybe we could hook up and break bread on one of my over nights up there. I'll give ya a heads up first time I am able to make the trip that way on the bike and buy ya dinner.
  16. Thanks Blues....glad to hear you like em, like I said my only concern was would they stay tight and based on your comments, looks like they will I like it!
  17. Interesting thanks for the link, I fugured when I posted this someone would tell me"Oh you can get that for $.45 here lol" But the convenince factor was worth it to me. They are very streamlined and not obtrusive in the bag at all.
  18. Did a search and didn't see where anyone has discused these so thought I would, as my first attempt at a contribution to this fine site. Found these poking around the web at http://r-markventures.blogspot.com/ Thought they looked like great idea. Then a few days later I ran acrossed them again on Ebay. So, I thought, what the heck. They're an affrodable upgrade and amkes easy cleaning and maintenance, especially nice if you had to get them off on the side of the road for any reason. So I ordered them and got immediate response and even a personal email thanksing me for the order! They were delivered quickly in two days. http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff242/stratocurtster/Trials/R%20Mark/20080404_4.jpg They are basically just your 4mm saddlebag bolts with a intregal plastic knurled or scalloped handle on them. So no tools are required to remove or intall the bags. They seem to tighten down adequately by hand on my installation tonight. So all that is left, is to ride and double check them for awhile to make sure they stay good and tight, which it appears they will. Here is what they look like installed. http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff242/stratocurtster/Trials/R%20Mark/20080404_7.jpg http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff242/stratocurtster/Trials/R%20Mark/20080404_9.jpg
  19. Very Cool! I'm lovin all the pics! Sounds like your a lot more techy than I am. I'm just a player/singer. Back in the 60's - 70's all I could afford the Fender and Gibson stuff but I loved and still do the old tubed Silvertone Stuff like the 1485 and 86. Silvertone's head and cabinet or the Twin Reverb wanna be. In fact here recently I have started to collect some of my earlier axes. To start my first guitar was the Silvertone 1448 tube amp in a case with the cool little short scale Danelctro's couldn't afford anything elese back then. I have snatched two of them recently on Craig's List, they are getting quite collectable on Ebay. They're awesome. http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff242/stratocurtster/Trials/silvertones/1448-1.jpg http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff242/stratocurtster/Trials/silvertones/1448.gif In Fact I have some vintage 8mm of us jamming Silvertone Style when I was around 12 on my YouTube Site. No sound back then so I laid a little Vintage Byrds down for a soundtrack, we even had GoGo Girls [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3n2Jq2T7Dw]YouTube - Music The Early years[/ame] Man you guys are taking me back, can't wait to get together at some function and we can do some jammin and sing'n!
  20. Like he said!
  21. Great would love to see them!! Yeah it comes and goes in my life as well, when I was rasing my girls now 31 and 27, it very little priority, so quit gigging and just played once in awhile. Got divorced in 01 after 20+ years and picked it back up again and started playing out again. Got married to Deb in 05, inherited Carson as my step-daughter and see didn't like me even a little bit. She got interested though in the guitar watching me play, so I taught her and she was a natural, now were super close and have a wonderful relationship. So music has a special place in her's and my life. Keep playin, it's good for the soul!
  22. Super nice colllection man!! Love the Casino!!
  23. I will echo those remarks, one of the best run sites I have ever participated in!
  24. Nice, I would like to see that!
