Way to go, I retired in July, we sold our Jeep and bought a 2012 F250 and a Toy Hauler. It is so nice not getting up at 4:20 any more, you will love being retired.
Having a place in Sebewaing and riding on Van Dyke going north we Never ride in the low lite hours , we have had so many close calls. Heal well and get the bike ready for next year.
Are there any sporting clay shooters going to the Intl. Rally that plan to do the sporting clay course? $39 for everything including a gun or $15 if you have your own gun and ammo. I am camping, bringing my toy hauler so I could bring my own stuff. How about horse back riding? Anybody?
Just got home, bike says we rode about 1600 miles in eight days. Wow what a trip, started with rain and storms then real hot and finishing with a picture perfect day. It was a great trip, bike ran perfect, maybe next a ride around the U.P.
Saturday morning the wife and I are leaving for a around the state camping trip. Taking I94 across the state to the south west corner of the state then north following the shore line camping along the way. We plan to stay at a motorcycle campground in Interlochen Mi. one nite then Mackinaw Mi. one nite then across the big bridge to the U.P. for one day of riding. Next day back across the bridge and down the east side of the state, stopping a few times before making it home. We plan on a week long trip. I will try to post pics as we go.
The bike starts great using the choke, runs ok, when you start to take the choke off or give it gas it dies. Push the choke on the bike starts right up. I thought maybe it is not getting enough gas when giving it more air. The bike ran good last year in the spring but sat all year, long story.
I Have a 86 Venture std with I think has a bad fuel pump. If I take the pump off the bike and leave it pluged in for power but take off fuel lines should it keep on pumping for more than about 6 times and stop or should it keep on pumping when I turn the key on.
Anybody just out in SE Michigan or the Thumb going to out just cruising around this weekend and want to meet up for lunch or a ride? I have a few things I have to do but want to sneak in a ride. The wife has to work all weekend so I am somewhat free to wander. If I can not meet with you maybe someone else can.
This morning I pulled the carbs off thinking maybe the one carb was sucking air somewhere so I pulled them off looked at everything, pulled off a little gadjet with wirers connected to it that connects to the carb. It has little fingers that lines up with the butterfly rod. When I split the carbs to change the needles and seats it might have not lined up right making that carb stay open a little bit. Put it all back together and bingo. So far so good. Synced the carbs and all is well.
