My Rear Head Set Does Not Work
Gene-b replied to TESchoener's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Sounds like bmxndad is on to something here. There is a volume controll on the left side rear of the passanger seat. If that is all the way down you will not hear anything out of the rear jack. With both headseats dead at the rear jack, this does make sence. -
I have a friend that had the same trouble with his 1st gen. He traded it in on a 2nd gen and has had no further problems.:rotf:

I had the same issue after about 1500 miles on my 2007. My local dealer "Vickory Yahama" found that the rear axle was not properly greased. He said there is a Yahama service memo concerning this problem. I am not sure what they did to correct the issue, but I now have 8000 miles and no more clicking sound. I believe if you purchased your bike from a Yamaha dealer, they should be able to help. Gene

What gas mileage do you get ?
Gene-b replied to greg_in_london's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
My Wife and I went for a ride Saturday with some friends, We rode 205 mi, used 4.8 gallons so thats 42.708 mpg. (2 up) 50% at 55 mph on back roads, 25% at 75 mph on the interstate and 25% in town. This seems to be normal for my 07. I think it's the color, it's a midnight! -
Glad you were able to "ride it out" I know how it feels to get a flat at high speed! NO FUN! It pay's to pay attention. Gene

Ive been riding Ventures since 2002. I'm on my second one now. Anyway, One day I just decided to find out if there was other Venture riders in my area so I just did a search on the net, this site came up and the rest is history! Now I'm hooked, I check in almost every day. Gene

He wasent a 1%er, he is only called that! He was however a person in need. If he is in need of help and will accept your help, then help! Simple as that! We are all God's children, weather is says 1%er on our leather vest or not!

Great to have you here! Be carefull however, April 1st was a turning point for YAMA MAMA! So I'm not sure you can trust her:whistling:, but everyone else here is GREAT!
-
I don't know what to say now. I was going to suggest you change your call name to "ULTRA MAMA" that's kinda cool! And I was thinking the thong tatoo should be placed, well you know where! (anotomicly correct) That seem's fitting. Now I'm not sure that I will ever be able to trust you again:confused24: Nice one, you got me! Gene

7500 MI on my 07. Not a problem! I had a 2002 before this one with 38,000 on the ticker. Same thing, not one problem. I sold that (02) to a friend. He now has 42,000 on it and still, no problems. RSV, What a bike:big-grin-emoticon:
