Good for you, you're going to love it. By the way, the 1st gen is faster, it has to be. They need to get home quick before that old thing breaks down again! Gene

Change it soon, If it goes out, everything stops and you will be stranded. I KNOW! A couple of hours on the side of the free way and a tow, makes the $150.00 cheap! Gene-b

How long will it live?

I sold my 2002 Venture to a friend about a year ago, I put 68,000 on the bike. He has put about 14,000 on it since I sold it to him, so that's around 82,000 on the bike now and the thing runs like new, no major repairs, no problems, no end in sight! He loves it. I replaced my 2002 with a new 2007 Midnight. I have 15,000 on this one and it looks like another great ride. I'ts not a Harley, you don't need a new one every 2 years! Gene -
I'm so sorry to here about your dog. I know how it feels to loose a pet (Friend). You are right, they are without question a part of the family. Your friend in Colorado Gene & Vickie

Congrats on your new baby! She is beautiful. I am sorry about the "harley syndrome" however. I understand those born with "harley syndrome" live relitivly short lives. So enjoy here while you have her. Gene:cool17:

You are right! It's ice! :scared:Somtime after we started up the pass the chain law went into effect (chains only). We had solid ice at the top of the pass for about 2 miles. And just in case your wondering NOPE I dont want to do it again! It took us about 3 hours to go 16 miles in snow and slush. Makes for a great story, but once is enough. Gene

I don't know about the rest of you, but come 5:00 the hubby and I are jumping on the bikes and it doesn't matter where we go. It's going to be great!! Hope you all get a chance to ride this weekend cuz life doesn't get any better than that!! Happy Friday! Sorry no pity party here, Life is to short and its only $$. Family and Friends are way more important. I'm not waiting untill 5 either. Weather here is a little cold 50 degrees right now (11:45 am) cloudy and overcast, but 2 friends of mine are as crazy as I am. So we are hooking up in about an hour and were outa here for the afternoon. :Venture:I've been wet before and I'll be wet again. Happy Friday and have a great weekend everyone! Gene-B
