  3. I will be flying to Squidly's on Aug 6 to pick up his 86 Venture I just purchased. Will be rideing it back to Louisiana. I am 54 and have never flown on a commercial airline so I have questions. First has anyone here done this and how did you carry your helmet???? I was trying to avoid checking in baggage and thought I would just bring a carryon bag and stuff the helmet, clothes and needed items in, then the bag would fit in the trunk for the retun trip. Problem is I can't determine on their web site if a helmet is allowed on carryon. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated and advice on what to make sure and bring. Also any advice on checking in etc., will be changeing flights in Atlanta Ga. Thanks
  4. Hope you get her going buddy.

Go to user CP. In the left coloum click on edit profile picture. Look down at option 2 and click on browse to find the pic you want in your profile. The pic will need to be resized ( look at note at the bottom). Download this windows resizer (scroll down on right and find ImageResizer )http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx and install then right click on pic and first option is the small pic. It will simply rename the pic with small added. Now upload the pic and save the changes.
  8. Some of you may be interested in this. I could not afford to by two new headsets for the wife and I, so while browsing edsets products I noticed that they had individual speakers for $12.25 each in the accessories and parts. I ordered a pair and took my J&M head set and spliced these speakers in. Althou you could get the matching connectors prob. from Radio shack I just cut the one off from J&M as well as edsets and soldered the wires together. The wires are not color coded so had to guess here and tried it out before I soldered it in. If you look at the attachement with the speakers facing up the top wire or the one right (with red arrow) was soldered to the white wire on the J&M and the other on the black wire. Don't know how much difference it would have made but on speakers usually poitive to positive and neg to neg. Any way doing it this way it worked and the sound is great. For $25 and shipping It is like a whole different set. Hope this may help some who are in the same boat I was in but would like better sound. Thanks to Don for what he has done on this and I really debated on writing this cause I don't want to take anything away from edsets. The music is better and the conversation is better with this set up.
  9. Wow, Parting out my bike already.

  13. We made it home about 3pm today. After riding in the rain shortly after leaving the hotel yesterday most of the way to Tenn. And then rain for the last 20 miles home. Did not get the rain suite on in time and got drenched. Want to also say thanks to Jeff and Leslie for an outstanding job hosting this event. We had a great time and it was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones. The food was great, the rides were great, the host was great, the BS sessions were great, what else can one say. THANKS Skid.

  22. Ok, here's one. Right after tire removal. It rinses off with water, and I usually just wipe it off. I find that most of it stays in the tire.
  23. Your gauge should have come with reducers or restrictors. And yes you need to use them or the vaccum will be to great for the gauge.

    RejeX

I use it on the bike and cages and it works great.
  25. Thanks for the well wishes guys. Eck, I wouldn't suggest this new fad. The concrete looks ok but it takes a bad toll on the knees. The burns are looking better but still hurt some, the worst pain is when I try to get up to walk. Vin, Prices depend on what area you are looking at. Land on the north shore from New Orleans can run that high. We are 30 miles north of the lake area and in rural areas as low as $3000 an acre.
