    It was tight but I got mine back together. I did the same as you and stuck the new seal to the cover and you just have to play around with it and move it at some angles that you would not think would help then all of a sudden it plops right where it needs to go. Just a thought, you did remember the rear one will go back on the opposite side as the front one did ! Right? then most of us have been there.

    hi Randy, did you drill a hole in your center stand and just use a bolt to mount the metal wheel or did you have to put some type of bearing in? Thanks Ron Good idea Randy:thumbsup2:

    My starter button feels like it wants to stick a little and feels a bit stiff. It is still cold here but it feels gummy when I press it, any suggestions?

    Something else Ive heard people doing is to put talcum powder on the motor at any suspicious areas and sit back and watch, any leak will discolor the white powder thus making a hopefully easier find!! Just a thought

    Wow, comming from Squeeze that sounds like a big green light to let that motor crank some!!! Hey Squeeze can you just say that for me and I will save it till the weather breaks here then ride mine like I stole it!!!! He may have a overflow tube routed wrong causing it to puddle up somewhere on the motor and not dripping down to the ground:detective:

    :happy34:I looked at the other photos of the bikes build and see how he replaced the air cleaner. hope that works for him. I would like to hear her running also. I thought that bike was a awesome looking one when it was in blue paint with the saddlebags. Keep up your hard work and enjoy her.

    My 89 has chrome around the fuel filler door. Does anyone else? Is that a yamaha option?

    Is the MK1 83 - 85? It won't fit an 89 will it?

    I can vouch for that, the wife and I where in Charleston saturday, and it was nice. Alot better than the snow piles I left at home in Ohio! We ate at a local place around Folly Beach called Bowen Island Seafood. Very local and good food

    Looks like they took a front clip from a small sports car and notched it out like the guy did with the utility trailer!! Best looking one I think

    I took my battery to Auto Zone and had it tested. They said the first load it checked ok but the second time it dropped to 7? Does that mean bad battery? or maybe not charged all the way? It had been unattended for awhile.
