  1. If 86er swapped his cables does that mean he will have reverse throttle control? like instead of throttle slowing down you would actually be giving more fuel? Good luck the restof the way home.
  2. Brad, I have met ya a couple times now and cupcake IMO was good for a laugh and an occasional dig at ya, but you will always be squidley to me or maybe TOOLMAN !!!!! If only all choices in life were this hard. Did someone say something about Cheesecake?

Back home from MD Oberlin, Thanks again to the Nelsons for opening their home and pulling off another wonderful day. Every year I get to meet new friends, find new ideas for the scoot, and finally felt I had learned enough from everyone here to work on a couple bikes today! ( Note to self, next year bring portable shade and folding chairs for more sit and talk time! ) My friend also passes along thanks for the gentleman that sync the carbs on his VStar, he says it runs alot better now and he owes you a beer! Hope eveyone has a safe trip home.
  7. No need for looking thru clouds today, that sun was hot at Dons!!!
  8. Are those rental sats available to the general public? Now that could be fun:whistling:
  9. The wife and I will meet you there also! They gonna seat us in shifts? lol

  11. Willysman, My bad, I reread your post and I thought you were asking about Ventures!!! I would stay away from whatever a Yenture is!!!! lol
  12. Well first of welcome to the site! As far as is it worth it , yes it is even if you were to use for a parts bike. These bikes MK1 and MK2 as well as the newer versions are a passion for alot of us on here. I own a 89VR and have done alot of things to it all of which I learned on here, thanks again to everyone. I love my bike, and would ride it anywhere and I mean anywhere, as long as the boss says ok, lol. If you come across any questions feel free to ask. I see you are a mech, but you will need to use the knowledge of the ones that have been do this road before! Don't be to proud to ask cause someone else may need the answer also. Once again welcome to the family.
  13. Sorry bout your mess, that looks to be pretty bold of them to come right up on the porch,do hope you find out who did it and have them make some kind ammends for the damage!
  14. Oh Man, that was a good gut laugh! :rotf:How true about some bikers just standin out by their rides. I just grin and keep on truckin!!!!!
  15. Don, are we gonna eat at lunchtime or after we get cleaned up around 3 or 4 ?
  16. My wife complains now and again about the exhaust smell she gets on her from the negative air pressure behind the bike when we ride(Sort of a rich running smell) It doesn't take much to make you smell exhaust fumes on ya!
  17. We ain't like that around here----- anymore! Everybodys welcome to come over to the Venture adventure side.
  18. Man, is this like the cliff hanger at the end of a TV series or what? come on LIL Beav ya gotta give us a little details or recap the season so far till next seasons series starts!!!! I think this may start gettin hot around here
  19. Dyson DC24, lightweight, I have arthritus in my hands and it easy 4 me to use. We had one of the monster Kirbys for years. Dyson is by far a more enjoyable and in m/o the best cleaning vac out there. Wish the cord was a bit longer. When you 1st use it you will want to vac everything just to see what it will pick up! I suggest doing your mattress if you have had it for awhile, you will be surprised in a bad way, but you will beglad you did! Dyson all the way......
  20. when we rode to St Louis I had more people checkin my 89 and good comments about than any of the Harley bikes in the group. People just like the VR's:big-grin-emoticon:
  21. 40 miles west in Millbury got tore up really bad, fatalities and over by Delta a little farther west same storm a lot of damage. Please keep the folks in your prayers. No damage around Castalia, we had our tornado a couple weeks ago!
  22. The only thing I think I would say to you is to take some time away from riding! When you really love riding then not being able to its kinda like loosing that first love, lots of emotion, mentally and phsyically and both hurt. Then see how you feel about things. Like someone else said, at 28 years old there is plenty of time to decide on riding. My prayer for you is for peace of mind and a healthy family!
  23. So if I could lose this 30 lb thing around my waist area:fatsmiley: my VR would gain 10 hp and my pants would fit better?????
  24. Ok guys the Boss is making it very clear, just stick with what he says on this!
