Ol'Dogbreath of the Spirit Stalkers. After a few to many the night before this fits me to a tee.

If your doing your own tire changes try using Vaseline for a lubricant on the new tire before installing. Works better than dish soap. You don't have to use much to get the desired outcome a little bit goes a long way.

Throw in a couple of dancing girls in the private forum room and I'm in! Whatever you do Don I'm sure it will all work out just like what your going through now. Take one day at a time and think of yourself now, we are all pulling for you.

E2 Error when airing up rear shock
mraf replied to kbert777's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Does sound like a tough fix. Any time mine was acting up it was always the solder joints. If I had to guess it sounds as if your compressor is working fine. The problem sounds more attuned to the Class controller itself.- 5 replies

Reminds me of the Van Jams of the old days. Whew, couldn't live through that again. TOO MUCH FUN.

How's that? Nothing tragic I hope. He was a riot.

Nope, I'm not getting into a sardine can that drives me around. Baww-ha-ha I'll get everyone into these bugs all at once and drive them into the ocean! I'm a super genius! Evil master plan.:rotfl: I don't like putting the actual driving into a computers control. Give me a electric vehicle I can control that will survive a NY winter. That will be a tough one.

Glad to hear it all worked out Lou. This is the first real thorough writeup on this swap I have read. It sounds as if you covered all the bases. This should be listed in the 1st gen section to help others doing this swap. Nice 83. Pop that 1200 apart and fix the 2nd gear issue there are many miles probably left in her.

Seen a write up on it awhile back . It sounded like a good film to see when it becomes available here. Sometimes decisions are thrust upon us. For which the only answer is to soul search. To not experience inner peace for the time we have is a tragedy. Ride-on. If you do a ride to the west coast you will never wipe that smile off your face.

Know what you mean Charlie. Last time I looked this site said Venturerider at the top. Seems that the moderators will let anyone on here anymore.:rotfl::rotfl:All these Wings kind-of break up the flow of the tech section. I don't know who to ask what about anymore.:rotfl: I know I'm a grandpa but refuse to ride a granpa bike.:rotfl:

Sorry to hear that Dan. When work begins to be a hate thing it is time for a vacation or a change. Either one helps the soul. I find that a vacation is good for a quick fix. Clears the mind for remembering the reasons why we do what we do for a living. A real vacation has to be miles away from home. I don't unwind until I'm at least 3 days ride away from home. I guess it has to be from the thinking that if I'm only a few hours away from home I can be their there quickly to make a difference. If I'm 3 days away I can't change a thing. I love my job but there are trying times for all of us. Hang in there better days are coming.

Will keep them in our prayers. If you haven't yet bought a web camera you should. When my son was in Iraq he could use the web cams there. We were able to at least see each other when on line. The motions are alittle delayed when we were chatting via e-mail. I believe we were on Yahoo chat. It was good to be able to see him not just talk to him on the phone. Make sure there is Kleenex around for the women.

Nope. What brand fiter by the way.

I too have progressive and will now be shopping around as the renewal came two days ago. That blows being treated like that.

We try never to stay in any big name motels. There are alot of mom & pop motels out there that are quite resonable. For the two of us the price usally runs no more than $45 a night. We take our own pillows and sheets we pack them in those bags that you roll up to take all the air out. The big name motels are nice but way over priced. Some of the mom & pops are very nice, In the mountains of Wyoming we stayed it one for $42 and we still talk about how it was the best motel that we ever stayed at. Finding one can be part of the adventure of your trip.

Good to hear. Keep that 83 running strong.

Will do. My tires are roll starved therefore might be suffering from the effects of crack. If I could I would put my tires on a daily regimes of rolling therefore not giving them the time to sit around and crack. But this is to no avail for I and my bike are a product of a dreaded thing called winter. To which we have no control. Hell, I'm starting to crack!:rotfl:
