It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life. Rita Rudner Happy anniversary. 26 years of sheer wedding bliss.

Good luck on getting a "American citizen" to do just about any "work" on a farm. It has been over 25 years since a "American citizen" has ever graced my door for work. When I grew up we all did various jobs on the local farms around here. But now with FEMA, child labor laws, IRS, DEC, INS and every other do-gooder employed by our fine government you dare not hire just about anyone and better figure out a way to do your work using a machine. Work builds character. If you don't learn to work when your a kid you don't become a productive adult later in life. But don't hire any kid looking to make money now, if you do your a bad person and have everyone into your business.

Hey, if you don't blow your own horn who will? A son to be proud of!:thumbsup2: Good job, and a great accomplishment, enjoy your trip to Barbados and tell your son good luck in the contest.

All I need is a tach. Mine is doggy. I've lubed it up twice but it never stays loose for long. So e-bay hunting I go. I'll get one someday. It's no big deal but the one I bid on was mine 5 minutes before the end so I quit watching. Oh well better luck next time. :confused24:Thanks for the link Squeeze. Has anyone been looking at some of the prices on the junk for Ventures on E-bay? WOW!:yikes:I think some of the junkyards are crazy!! I'd scrape this bike before I'd pay what some of them want for parts. I know everyone want to make a profit but get real!

Hope your feeling better tomorrow. Prayers sent for your recovery. Don't be afraid to make a mistake. But make sure you don't make the same mistake twice. Akio Morita Good words to live by. Falling down stairs sucks!

Forward that to Yamaha Headquarters!:rotfl: If they do away with the cassette player cousin yamamoto will be out of a job! Not going to happen, NOPE. Never did understand all the hype over cassette tapes either. The 8-tracks let you pick other songs much faster. I'll second the motion to bring'em back.:rotfl:

My wife says she'd like to drive her own. So maybe its time to drag the Suzuki T500 out of mothballs next winter and give it a good going over for a first time rider. Look out!!! At least for a little while.:rotfl: I'd say freshen up the H2 Kawasaki 72 but I don't want her to whip my butt.:rotfl:

Ditch driving and didn't even dump the bike! Pucker factor saved ya. Good driving anyway you look at it.

Went to the Local eatery tonight. Parked beside the building and noticed 9 Harley's parked out front. Walk in and much to my surprise there at a table were 9 women. First for this old boy. Good to see the opposite sex getting together for some riding and eating.

Dave that quiz sucks. As far as Canada taking over Michigan don't stop there take New York too. NY is going to start to tax the air we breath petty soon. The weather here has been great this month so the wife goes to register the bike for the year. She gets all the paper work done and the DMV lady says that will be $14.00 for this month and $17.50 for the next years registration when you come in next month to re-register. Not a big increase but a increase never the less. Wife says why not just charge us the $17.50 now with a prorated charge for the 1 more month. Lady says no, we can't do that it is to small of a amount to pro rate. BS. Lord, the older I get the more I can't wait to get out of this TAX STATE. Don't know when or how but move over some day southerners because if I still have two nickels left {don't tell NY} we're outta here! -
How about the smell of exhaust fumes?

The bolts for the windshield are shouldered so as to not put undue stress on the shield when tightened. The brackets with the rubber on them mount in the front of the shield over the headlight. They hold the plastic chrome piece that mounts over the bottom of the shield. This chrome piece has two cast in prongs that secure into the rubber to hold it on. There is no bracket between the windshield and the frame at the corners, just the mounting holes. I'm going from memory so look at chrome piece to figure rubber mount bracket . The green bracket . Maybe pic of it will trigger brain cell.

I wouldn't be alarmed at all. What you have bought is a 1989 motorcycle. Do the math and it is 21 yrs old. There are some people out there that bungee cord this, black tape that and generally get by their whole lives on a wing and a prayer. You need to massage your bike back to life as you would want it. Plain and simple. I have probed and prodded just about every nook and cranny on my 86 since I bought it. I wouldn't want it any other way. If this bike died tomorrow I could bring it back to life with my eyes closed. I have enjoyed every minute of it. Beware though! Once you start you can't quit it's like a addiction.
