Its been on up here numerous times. You two look as if you were enjoying yourselves. Have the Grammies called yet? We had a commercial shot in our front yard once for a Property Insurance Company when we grew pumpkins years ago. Never did see it on television though.

Its just boring because your not there yet.

Great drawings Gary. Didn't know I was so good with my stick welder, dremal and files when I made mine.:rotfl: These info drawings need to be in the tech sections. -
STRESS is a killer. Good luck on the new job. Keeper between the lines and hammer down. My father-in-law drove truck for a living the stories he could tell.

Help-valve shim tool

Hey doug, post this in the watering hole section and you might get someone from Canada to help you. Its watched and answered more often. If your handy you can make one. Do a search on valves on this site. There are some pretty good drawings to help in making your own tool. I made mine and posted some pictures of it, it wasn't pretty but it worked like a charm. If no one from Canada has one to loan you I'd be willing to loan you mine. -
Congratulations on 37 years of sheer wedding bliss!

Check out this. http://www.venturerider.org/wiring/99-09%20Yamaha%20Royal%20Star%20Venture%20Wiring%20Diagram%20Rev%20B.pdf Shows a hazard relay and two flashers. My bet:2cents: new flasher or loose wire.

Almost bought 3 laptops today. The son said his took a dump over in Afghanistan and wanted us to send him a new one. Time I finished skipping around I had 3 racked up on the site that had the one he wanted. Good thing I gave it a once over before committing. So your not alone. Heres hoping you have better weeks coming.

I sent him everything. I figure running beads, gold, sculptures has to be sweet for a job. Maybe get a machine gun mounted on the truck for the Gold running!:rotfl:The beads now theres a hot commodity. Back in the 1400's:rotfl:Sculptures,Huumm:scratchchin: are these made out of stone, metal, ice, plywood or snow? Because if I could just pick up some of these snow sculptures I've made and haul them to a store parking lot I bet I could sell-em.:rotfl::rotfl:Seriously, its a scam,RUN!

Don't do it! From what I've seen on this site they tend to breed when they get together. Then you don't have room to move around your place. Pieces of them start laying all over the place cluttering it up. Then the next thing you know everyone you know {and don't know} start stopping in to see if you can fix their bike being that you have started a motorcycle salvage yard and you are riding a older bike. It's addictive. Believe me. I had 2 for awhile and I they did have a offspring. It's a v-max. I know its theirs its black and goes like hell. That was enough for me so I sold the 83 before they got together again and maybe make a slower 2nd gen too that I'd have to contend with.:rotfl:

I have a ancient 87 4wd Suzuki. 2 sons and 8 thousand some odd miles on it. Plus thousands of hours idling doing farm work. Just replaced the motor with a e-bay one. The rod bearing seized. Couldn't blame it, it had been through hell. My son says I should have bought a new one years ago. I told him that would be like giving up on him if he were sick it's been in the family so long. Anymore most all brands are bullet proof if you stay in the utility range. As far as pulling one out of a bog, just so you're not the only one pulling. I've left mine and walked back to get the tractor before I brought myself to a cardiac.

Good you got to ride nevertheless. Rained hard here in the morning hours. It quit this afternoon and was warm enough to ride this afternoon. But with what this state wants to put on our roads salt wise, when the snow melts these warm days. Is enough to give me second thoughts. It takes a week to un-white the roads around here after the snow stops.

:rotfl::rotfl::sign yeah that: Thanks for the headsup. The logistics for a coordinated move of a junkyard has to be a nightmare. There is a bike junkyard about 40 miles from me that hasn't had what he said he had just about every time I have been to it. It got so bad that every time one of my friends says he is going there I get a big laugh and tell them I'll ride along for the giggles when he is told that they don't have it. Went there one time with one of the brother-in-laws for a track for a old snowmobile. We stood at the counter and told 3 different guys what we came for. Each one would disappear behind the counter to never appear again. Finally the 4th one said to go and look for ourselves. We stepped through the magic door and were met with total disorganization. It was a scene from HOARDERS!:rotfl: Needless to say I couldn't stop laughing as we drove away. Life is good.

Did mine last winter. Look at it this way. If one or two are off it has a slight detrimental effect to the overall performance of the engine. So it should be done. When your done, besides all of the other above mentioned reasons to do it you will have a better piece of mind for knowing that it has been done. The tool is way overpriced and after giving up looking for a reasonable one I made my own. It wasn't pretty but it worked. It took about 2 hours to fudge out starting with a 13/16 box wrench and a welder to make the ramps then somewhat cleaning it up with a dremel and file. The 13/16 box fit the camshafts flats with just a little fileing. This is needed to roll the tool into place to push the buckets down.
