Hey, AKRefugee is that on Long Island? I did not think there was another Blackcherry Venture on Long Island other than mine. You got my vote! Whats next? I'll keep an eye for you when I ride.

I second this! Get the video, practice in parking lot and use rear brake in slow stop and go speed, and you will have no problems. I have read of many changes that can be made from tires to lowering kits. My is still stock, I am 5'7" with a 29" inseam, I'll take any turn drag my boards & made full lock U-turns. Go for it you will LOVE it. PS the picture below is on the Tail of the Dragon in 07', I'm going back in a few weeks.

HEE-HAW!! Ride'em Cowboy!!!

Not quite! I had a Kawasaki Vulcan and never left me stranded on the side of the road.

Jonas, you sound perfectly fine to me. Why would you need a shrink you just bought another bike perfect stress reliever whether working on it or riding it. I have 4 bikes, wife loves it, if not with her I am in my garage. Non riders think we are crazy but they are the ones that need the shrinks. Hmm.. come to think I am getting the itch again.

Folks all we need is "YOU, YOUR BIKE & AT LEAST ONE COP CAR" uniformed cop is optional just the car will do!:confused24:

How about a picture of me in jail. One of my bike in the impound lot. After I try riding inside the local Zoo.
-
You are right! It is an awesome Monument, the pictures do not do it justice. Standing at it's feet it a very humbling experience.
-
OK, folks it looks like we lost momentum. You guys gave me to much time. Here are my picture taken today, finally the sun came out and the temperature is above 50. Dan did you receive the patch and how does Shari like it? NEXT "YOU YOUR BIKE AND A PADDLE RIVER BOAT" NOT necessarily on the water but a real boat!

There will never be a shortage of opinions here! Check out the thread below. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=19501

Depends on the highway pegs and where you have mounted them. See the attached photo for the mounting of the vents on my bike.

Minority or not you have the right to your opinion. This is not just about riding motorcycle, the insurance companies can determine many things to be dangerous activities (snowmobiling, skiing, horseback riding, and all-terrain vehicle riding, driving to work instead of using public transportation, who knows what they will stop at) and refuse to pay the medical expenses base on their opinion.
-
I know why there's no one on it. They all fell out! OK Dan we'll accept the photo! Every one seems to have forgotten about the prize when some one wins. I have not, Dan if you PM me with you address I'll send you the Venture patch.
-
Ron there is nothing to be embarrassed about you are among friends. Now you have another reason to go out and ride some more.

Just keep it alive for those who have not taken action yet. It affects all of us, take action and pass it on.

I not so sure, there is the word "wheel" is in "Ferris Wheel". That doen't look like a wheel.
-
Ok...Ok...Ok... The first picture was for fun. The second picture was an hour ago, at the Great South Bay off the South Shore of Long Island. Next You, your bike and a ferris wheel that can carry people! Winner get a Venture patch in the picture.

Does the lighthouse on my front lawn count? I did start my bike to move it in the driveway.:rotf:

We need to take action NOW. Tell your Government Representatives that you want their support. "I live, ride and work in your district and I am urging you to support motorcyclists by co-sponsoring H.R. 1076, "The HIPAA Recreational Injury Technical Correction Act.” H.R. 1076 aims at ending health care discrimination for individuals participating in legal transportation and recreational activities-activities like motorcycling, snowmobiling, skiing, horseback riding, and all-terrain vehicle riding. http://www.amadirectlink.com/legisltn/rapidresponse.asp

OK BluesLover it looks like you score the first target, set the next one.

The price seams pretty reasonable to me. On the road a room usually costs me $60 a night:sick:. Having said that I would never turn someone away that stayed at a different location and joint us for the day's activities, while paying their own way. Either way go out and have fun. Life is not a dress rehearsal.

I have bikes with both, in my humble opinion: Pegs only toe shifters. Floor boards heal & toe shifters. It is not natural and uncomfortable (and more so when wearing boots with heals) to up-shift with ones toes when on a floor board, the foot has to pivot off of the very end of the heal unlike with pegs were it pivots on the arch.

I am glad that most of us are better riders than computer operators.
