  1. How do you like the cup on the throttle side? My cruise is broken so that’s not an option. Do you just reach across body? I like having my GPS on the left. Also having my brake hand not occupied gives me peace of mind.
  2. So I was going to piece back my mistake but it looks like the hardware is plastic threaded rod. Does that seem right? I’m imagining they did this to act like a shear pin and save the deflectors. Thoughts? And anyone know where to find threaded plastic rod locally?
  3. I used to heat my house primarily in a wood stove. I’ve cleaned up more deadwood and fell more trees than any common man should. The brake has gotten me Stymied before, but not that bad.
  4. Ouch whoops! We had our floor drain clog in the laundry room almost a year ago and had to rip out the floor…while installing the new floor we noticed mold when pulling the baseboard and I cut out the drywall with the mold. Anyway today I went to buy new drywall but failed to measure what thickness I needed. Good luck on the trailer
  5. @uncledj is that German? Obviously it’s BMW but curious what country was using it?
  6. So you have to disconnect the brake line to install that?
  7. That’s beautiful! Nice to get away, the wifey and I did a long weekend in Vegas weekend last. Circ du sole show was nothing short of fantastic!
  8. it’s gone too far. Like a freight train without brakes. It’s all going to end in a fiery crash. https://www.yahoo.com/news/air-force-academy-tells-cadets-162345649.html
  9. I’ve been using a Bluetooth to cassette tape. Works Amazing for what it cost. The only thing I need to rig up is being able to charge it while using it. The port is on the side rather than the back.
  10. Nice install! Looks really clean. I still use my tape deck to stream my music.
  11. I don’t know who Tom Swift is but I don’t think Tony Soprano would have played along with that nonsense.
  12. You sir have opened yourself up to countless questions coming from an amateur backyard chef! Be warned! 😋🤠 . My brother is a classically trained chef graduating from the CIA In NY…. I’ve learned a lot through osmosis but even he can’t come to grips with some of my BBQ Q&A
  13. If you’re new to tri-tip make sure you slice it correct or it can be chewy instead of tender. The grain changes due to the shape of the cut.
  14. This is a confirmed ARI. Cleaning out the garage and had to move some things around. Had a tip over and smashed my wind deflectors. Luckily it seems only the hardware broke and I should be able to piece it back together.
  15. You never can trust the USPS, especially if they have to exchange at the border 😁
  16. I don’t know about the clutches but Earl is still around as of a few months ago. Just bought the brake delink kit from him. Sometimes he takes a minute to respond.
  17. Looks like an amazing time!!!! I so want to commit to this kind of trip. It keeps circling in my dreams but just doesn’t bubble to fruition.
  18. Still can’t resist. Some places the Tri Tip cut of meat isn’t known or popular, but on the west coast USA it’s a staple. Legend has it starting in Santa Maria Ca. I often travel to Vandenberg SFB and bought what it told to be the original seasoning from a small deli. Well I’ve cooked many of tri tip from smoking to roasting and my favorite has been grilling it like a ribeye. Until now. I used the same suzie q seasoning I bought in Santa Maria but pan seared it in cast iron with a butter baste. If a picture could deliver flavor here is my effort for y’all.
  19. Old post I know. But curious what you decided to do @djh3. I don’t have any known back issues, I just over the years have gotten lazy and have bad posture. I find myself slouching on the longer rides, especially two up when I don’t have the bikes backrest in place.
  20. Don’t have a lot of miles on them but I really am liking the 777
  21. Thanks for bumping this back up….unfortunately I haven’t been riding nearly as much this summer as I’d like to. I’ve been up for promotion so dressing more professional plus it’s been so hot it just isn’t fun. Just found out I got the promotion I’m gonna have to try this out once the sun subsides. 101 in the shade tomorrow.
  22. Yes. Same here. @TTrax I’d start with a bigger resistor to see if the intermittent goes away before chasing a ghost. I’d have to look at the schematic to be certain however I’m very confident all that line is doing is looking for a minimum resistance before the light goes on.
  23. I may be wrong but I think you’re reading too far into it. My simple brain says we’re just trying to trick the computer into think the fluid level is providing enough resistance to not trip the light.
  24. They recently built apartments here in SLC specifically without enough parking, banking on public transit. Sad thing is without a car you’re trapped in a 60 mile corridor.
  25. Beautiful.
