Windscreen replacement
Pasta Burner replied to Pasta Burner's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Thanks Rick! That’s exactly what I planned on doing is calling tomorrow. I thought for sure there was a vented option in the past. I have a buddy who might also be interested so maybe they’ll be more keen on doing more than one. -
Hi All, I swear I've seen a topic of this, but I'm not getting any love searching. What's a good replacement for a first gen? I see the Clearview with the vent and that looks awesome to me but they don't have one for a first gen. any suggestions? I currently have one of those big tall and wide tinted screens, but the time has come that it's so weathered I can no longer safely see through it.

Hey Strangers…I hope all is well as I’ve been otherwise occupied and not on much. I gave a new coworker and friend @GreenSauce the pleasure of borrowing my beloved 87VR…he fell in love and flew from Utah to Iowa yesterday to buy a 92 and ride it back home to Utah. He’s about 700 miles into the trip and called saying the clutch felt soft and didn’t want to shift down on the highway and had further trouble shifting while exiting. Got to the gas pump and after fill up he says it’s now gripping hard and even wanting to pull with clutch lever fully pulled in. I think I thought I read about this but a search didn’t pull up any quick results. He says the fluid is still half sight glass but looks dirtier than when he started. Ideas? Thanks!

Love to this! I’m changing my tires on my sport bike for the first time in probably 15 years…they look good and feel good both riding and by touching them but something in me this year said to swap them out. I didn’t ride for many years so she just sat stagnant. When I picked up riding again two years ago I was like these seem brand new. They gripped and held but it’s time.

For that reason I bought the Dunlops from my local dealer instead of online.

Beautiful! If you’re still there do yourself a favor and walk through the bottom and look up. It’s an entirely different experience walking through the hodo than looking down on them.

To be fair I was about to order from Amazon so they could be counterfeit…but still all the more reason to pay attention. Counterfeit Chinese tires are even more scary than production😬

I was just about to push the button on a new set of Pirelli Diablo for the duckie when I noticed the rear was stamped “Made in China”. Sorry but not trusting my life to that. Ended up going with Dunlops made in Japan.

First thought is thrown wheel weight, second bent rim.
