Sorry, couldn't find the manual, which is odd for me because I've still got manuals from things that either broke or were replaced years ago.

I'm sold. I was making a run down to Denver and, at about the Longmont exit, I heard a pop... about like when the "edge" of your tire hits a rock just right and it makes a loud popping noise as the rock pops out from under the tire. Well, I wiggled the bars a little to see if I could feel any handling problems that would indicate a flat tire. I could feel nothing and proceeded along at 75 mph. Stayed that way for 10 miles until I felt the handling getting a bit odd (The pavement was grooved so I thought that the tires were just tracking funny at first) and when I changed lanes the feeling got way worse. I knew I had a flat rear so I pulled over immediately. Sure enough, when I found the hole it was a V shaped hole that was about 3/4 of an inch long, nothing left in the hole to plug it except the Ride-On. If I hadn't had the Ride-on in there I'm pretty sure the story would have had a different ending a lot sooner than 10 miles.

Sadly, I didn't have a chance to look last night. Had to remove the mounds of Ice from my gutters before my front porch and driveway turned into skating rinks. I've got a note to look tonight.

Blue and Yellow? I've got the exact same one. I'll have a look and see if I can find the manual when I get home. I usually keep that kind of stuff. Doesn't sound like a problem that the manual would help with though. They're pretty simple so I'm thinking that the guys have it right with the relief valve being stuck open.

Or I've put a brick (the kind with 3 holes with the kickstand sitting in one of the holes) under the kickstand and it's still fairly stable. It's not completely upright so it will read just a hair low that way though.

Jack, I've got Progressive and they insure just my bikes and have towing... Had to use it too.

Only thing wrong with that was it wasn't actually the "winning" touchdown. The Saints were already ahead.

By the constitution (article 1 section 2) all we are required to answer is the number of people living in the house. It was established as an ENUMERATION of people living in certain areas so that the number of representatives in the government can be set for the number of people living in the place they represent. Enumeration means that they only need to know how many not all that other crap. All they're getting from me is how many people live here. The government has gotten too big for it's britches. However, we are at fault because we let it happen.

All I can tell you is I've had 2 3800 series 2 engines... 1999 Pontiac Bonneville and 2001 Buick LeSabre, that had/have the same intake manifold/gasket problems. Getting ready to do the intake manifolds on the Bonneville sometime soon here (hopefully it will wait till it warms up). Great engine if you can take care of that, don't get me wrong. Great power and great mileage.

I'm in for one as well!! Thanks Gary!!

And change the upper intake manifold and lower intake manifold gaskets!! Hmmm I wonder where that coolant went... No sign of a leak anywhere. Plastic UIM has a bad, bad record on the 3800. EGR stove pipe going from the LIM through the UIM will melt/deteriorate the UIM and cause coolant leaking into the UIM. Other than that, yeah, they go forever.

Hmmmm Seems to me that, in this particular location, there shouldn't be too much of a problem with people being unsuspectingly hit with something they don't want. Now in a restaurant that may be a different matter.

You want an EXPENSIVE or INEXPENSIVE cover? If you want an inexpensive cover I'd suggest Champion Covers: Champion Motorcycle Cover You would need the XXL. This is the lightweight cover and it packs up really really small. Don't know about the heavyweight. The only think I don't really care for about this cover is that it's got elastic around the entire bottom. But once you learn how to put it on it's not that big a deal. The nice thing about the elastic all the way around is that the thing does not blow off like my previous cover did. I've used mine for 2 summers. On and off almost every day and it's still in great shape. For the price it can't be beat!!

After I put the battery back in yesterday I did a static Current draw test. It's pulling about 3.3 milliamps with everything off. Then I hooked it up, started it and did a voltage test. Seems like the thing is charging at 13.92 volts at high idle and 13.88 at low idle. This was before everything warmed up. Does this sound about right? I thought it sounded a little low but I believe that's what it's put out since I checked it when I put the new battery in it about a year and a half ago. I'm going to check the connectors on the regulator and clean if necessary but I just wanted to find out what others are getting. Thanks:sign20:

Hmmmm If I remember correctly there WAS a bike with a CT on it when we got you your house that Friday. It had been doing the surging ever since I got back from your place. Coincidence...???

Got the load test, battery tested fine. Cleaned up the posts, tightened all the connections really well, bike started fine. Funny thing is, since I got back from Texas the bike has had a "surge" while it was cold with very little or no choke. The engine sounded like it would speed up and slow down. That was gone when I started it yesterday and this morning also.
