ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Like the one Kitty is wearing in my Avatar?
-
I completely removed the bibb also. But on my 04 white, you can see the tank seam through the paint. This has been reported on other colors also. But does not bother me, and nobody has ever commented on it.

The mirrors are not glass, they are polycarbonate so as not to shatter. This creates a slightly "woozy" image. Since the rear seat on a Venture is so much higher than the rider seat, I agree worthless with a passenger. My idea would be a bluetooth rear mounted camera, connected to a heads up display on the faceshield , ala corvette gauges.

Painted just the center area normally covered by the "hub cap" rotor covers. From looking at pictures on here of 2nd gen with covers removed, the "slashes" point clockwise on the left, and counterclockwise on the right.

Okay, so OutKast changed the frount tire, But I , Kitty, painted the rotors and now I'm not sure which one goes where. Or if it even matters? Help please =) Thanks

Stud Muffin Riderduke- I believe you can also get a mounting bezel for the little digital volt meter that makes installation easier and cleaner. Don't you already have the voltmeter/air temp/clock stick thingy on your bike?

go to search and type in "starglide" to find all kinds of similar conversions to rsv and rstd. just keep going through them, every one different but full of ideas

If your lady is that easily pissed off, it goes whichever way pisses her off. In fact, turn it around every time you find it changed. A few weeks of that, and she ripped the hanger off the wall and set it on the counter. If she is a good women and does not get pissed either way, appreciate her and ask her which way it goes, and do it for her.

rotella syn comes only in 5w-40, in a blue jug. Have used it for 20,000 miles. rotello 15w-40 is NOT syn and comes in a white jug. Have used it in an Intruder for 15,000 miles.

Synthetic Rotella E3's Throw the woman off the back seat and the whinin will stop. If your not getting 38+, see V7goose thread on float adjustments. Anything else??????

Hey. Come on now!!! Bubba don't remember that!! and Bubba don't drink neither! And my 2nd gen ain't slow.
-
I have about 1500 miles on my BFG. I agree with yamahamer. The BFG will be for sale as soon as I can afford a new E3.
-
Sorry man. Let me know if I can help in any way.

My rear E3 started showing cord at over 17,000. Was still fairly rounded. I rode about 12,000 of that superslab pulling 350lb piggybacker, the rest mostly 2lane mountain roads varying degrees of twisties. Front has PLENTY left. noticible noise when off-center. no following of grooves though, great wet or dry. Seems like the harder center tread leads to quicker rear brake lock-up. Am on a C/T now, but will probaly go back to E3 soon. The C/T follows grooves badly, and even the seams between lanes. Lane changes are like jumping the wake when water skiing.

as a road captain, I do it just before taking off so those right behind me are ready to go. On downshifts to make it smoother. On upshifts just cuz it sounds cool!
-
Installed E3 last sept. Got over 16,000 on rear E3 with safe tread left. Somewhere around 17,500 the cord surfaced. At 18.500 the front still has plenty left.

Goose - add the Purolater PL14610 oil filter. Maybe also the walmart filter. Also the PCW clutch spring kit, including references to contact PCW and the tech thread. I remember a thread where someone crossed over the tstat, but can't seem to find it. Do you have a reference to a source for the works shock? Goose you the man. Having all this in one place is gonna be cool!

Need more power! (audio)

Use "select" button until you get to AV. Use the up arrow all the way up to 5. Re-test. -
Don't worry. Just let it put the songs on however. After you load the card into the zumu, you can use the zumo menu to select by artist, album, title, genre (country/rock/ect).

Just mounted my BFG c/t yesterday. seated at about 65 psi. I cleaned all the sticky stuff off the rim and cleaned it with the mesh strip I use for cleaning copper pipe before soldering. Use a generous amount of tire lube. First side popped up about 60 psi. Let the air out, relubed the other side where is was still not seated. Pumped it up to 65 psi. Still would not go. I took a standard 16 oz hammer and rapped the tire in the middle of the sidewall where it had not seated. About 5 or 6 raps and it popped up. I guess the vibrations enough to get it to "break friction". Undecided yet on performance. But in a panic stop today, GREATLY improved with no lock-up, just some tire chirp.
