Any ideas how to remove a stripped Allen bolt?
DKleven replied to Color01's topic in Poor Man Tips and Fixes
I did the same thing to 2 of my bolts holding the bags on, they were very tight, what I did was drill a hole in the bolt so I could use a e-z out.(looks like a drill bit but when it tightens up, the taper actually turns out the remains of the bolt) it took a couple attempts to find the correct bit and e-z out combination...... I then used a stainless bolt instead of the soft ones that were in there to begin with, I got them a local hardware store...... not a problem now......Good luck -

Modulator location.....
DKleven replied to stvmaier's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Installed mine in the headlight, very simple, just plug it in, automatic off at night and does not work on low beam........if want it off just go to low beam and it is off, simple..... the rear fits in the area behind the license plate, just splice a couple wires, pack it in the plate mount and there you are, ready to ride.....it is allowed in all the states, no problem..... I feel very comfortable with it on, much more visible........there are times that I turn it off, such as riding in a group if I am not in the front.......It is like anything of course, personal choice..
