  1. Finally got the headlight and passing lights adjusted properly. Wow! What a difference!
  2. I work in the service division of a Japanese manufacturer in a different industry. The service manuals are written in Japanese by Japanese engineers and translated to English by people who are not engineers and often have no idea what the engineers are actually saying. Sometimes the translation is......interesting as to word choice.
  3. Getting the bike and trailer ready for a trip to the Florida Keys next weekend.
  4. Nice! My wife and I have a motorcycle trip planned for the Florida Keys in a couple of weeks. It will be the first real test of the trailer.
  5. It would certainly be a quick fix for a short windshield. Around town, lower speeds in hot weather the adjust-ability would definitely be an advantage. I am tall so the airflow over the short windshield that was on my RSV when I bought it tried to take my head off at any kind of speed.
  6. Ok, I see how it works now. If I still had the shorty windshield on the bike that the previous owner put on I might be interested. But after taking a 1,000 mile ride with it last year I replaced it with a ClearView XL windshield that I have to say I am very pleased with.
  7. I would have to see pics of it installed.....maybe my imagination isn't good enough.
  8. But...but...but... think of all the poor little snowbirds who came down here just to get warm. 🥺
  9. Luckily I live beyond the range of his snow cannon. 😁
  10. Ok, dead battery has been replaced. Time to find out if it was just bad batteries or if the sensor is draining them.
  11. One ok battery out of 4...... Works great when it has good batteries.
  12. I just checked and it has me in the right city, but the wrong state. I guess y'all will never find me. 😁
  13. You are doing it wrong. The RSV should be spending the winter in Florida with you. It's the best time to ride down here, summer is too hot. Do it right and you can ride year-round.
  14. Here you go @cowpuc does this look like the plane you saw?
  15. Winterize? Oh, you poor people! It's just now starting to cool off enough to go riding here in Florida. I am more likely to Summerize my bike. 😏
  16. I'll take my chances living down here in Florida. The last time he got that kind of range out of his snow tosser was Christmas of '89. I was living just outside of Milwaukee at the time, but when I drove home to Florida for Christmas the first place I hit snow was the Florida-Georgia border.
  17. It appears to be one of the C-32 aircraft (military version of the 757) that Pence normally flies on.
  18. Definitely not one of the 747's the President normally flies on, but from the shape I believe you were correct in identifying it as a 757 which is a smaller aircraft than the 747.
  19. Gave it a bath. Biketoberfest started in Daytona yesterday, my wife and I will be heading over tomorrow.
  20. Ok, let me explain the careful thought process that I used when selecting that helmet. It was the only one the motorcycle dealer had in stock that I liked when I bought the bike. It had been over 10 years since I sold my previous bike so I did not have one and needed one immediately in order to ride the bike home. Fortunately, I like it.
  21. Came in this morning and I have them installed. Only issue I had was one battery was dead and the other nearly so. But, they packaged 2 spare batteries in the box so it was just a minor annoyance.
  22. This is what I use: https://www.hjchelmets.us/product/fg-jet/ I have had it almost a year now and am quite happy with it. The full visor won't protect as well as a full face helmet but will be better than a 3/4 with no visor. If you are riding fast enough for the visor in the up position to bother you then airflow with it down is not a problem. I will lift it one notch as I slow down and open it all the way when I stop if I think I will be sitting awhile (like at a light). I am very fond of the internal sun visor. The speakers for the Yamaha intercom headset were a bit of a tight fit, but I made it work.
  23. Ok, let's look at it from this perspective: I work for a manufacturer, although in an unrelated industry. Nobody knows a product and it's limitations better than the company who designed and manufactured it. The vehicle manufacturers do not design or manufacture tires. Tire manufacturers design and manufacture tires. Vehicle manufacturers buy tires from tire manufacturers just like we do. The recommended air pressure as per the vehicle manufacturer should match that of the tire manufacturer of the tire selected by the vehicle manufacturer to be the OEM tire on that vehicle. When the tire installed is not the OEM tire there may be a difference between the vehicle and tire manufacturer recommendations. I will go with the tire manufacturer recommendations every time.
  24. Every time this thread popped up I would think "I should order that".... Ok, I surrender, just ordered from Amazon. I decided that it is too big a safety issue to ignore any longer.
  25. That reminds me, I have a GoPro mount on the bike but forgot to put the camera on yesterday.
