  1. It is from Clearview Shields. I bought the XXL in light gray with the vent option. GT XX-Large – 23″ H  (1″ Higher than Stock)
  2. I also recommend the aux cable. Here is my setup, I play Pandora on my phone and have the choice of playing it on the speakers or piping it directly into our helmets through the OEM intercom system.
  3. I replaced it with the tallest, widest one I could find, with a vent in the middle. When I want air in my face, I open the vent. When I don't, I close the vent. I have been very pleased with it, it eliminated the buffeting, even for the passenger.
  4. I don't recommend it. This pic is of my bike right after I bought it. The previous owner put the shorty on it. The buffeting was so bad at highway speeds that it literally made my eyeballs vibrate and gave me a horrendous headache on the 1,000 mile trip we took. When we got back I couldn't get that windshield replaced fast enough!
  5. This ^^^ This was an adjustment for me moving from the 2,053cc V-twin I used to ride where the power band was at much lower RPMs. This V-4 is much happier at higher revs. Assuming it is running correctly, you will find it has no lack of power once you figure out where the power band is.
  6. On the fairing to the right of the windshield.
  7. The SuperBright LEDs bulb works quite well with the Kisan P115W modulator. I know because I have them both installed on my RSV. It even makes reflective road signs pulse in broad daylight. I do find it funny how many people think I don't know my headlight is pulsing and feel the need to point it out to me. 😆 This is the one I have been running in my bike for the last year with no problems: P115W
  8. I have not noticed because I do not use the radio......I use Pandora on my phone connected via aux connection.
  9. I use the same bulb as RDawson and have the same results. I have experienced the same as saddlebum in the past, but LED technology has come a long way recently. The bulb from Superbright LEDs is truly a plug and play solution that works incredibly well with the OEM housing and reflector. I had such good results that I also upgraded the bulbs on both my '10 Suburban and my '10 GMC Canyon with similarly spectacular results. Unlike the LED replacement bulbs of just a few years ago, these focus like the halogens and have a distinct cutoff so that they can be aimed properly so you won't blind oncoming drivers. You don't get all the light scatter that the older LED replacement bulbs were notorious for.
  10. I just strapped a gas can to the cooler mount on the trailer.
  11. A solenoid valve connected to the ignition circuit sounds like an idea worth investigating. Assuming one compact enough can be sourced it should not be a difficult mod either.
  12. After reading this I went straight out and turned off my gas valve. I have been having the occasional "hard start", especially after it has been sitting for a few days, even with the battery tender connected and showing 13V on the meter. I think I found the answer to a question that I was about to post.
  13. It's funny you called it a Beastie. It's nickname is "Baby Beast" or "BB" for short. My daughter calls it a "pocket sized monster truck". 😆
  14. Yeah, it's a tow strap. 😒 But because my skid plate was up against a rock under that mud it was replaced by a tow strap on the back to the red monster. The tow strap on the front was attached in the right spot, that is one of the factory tow hooks. But.....all that plastic is about to come off. I just bought a 12,000 lb. winch and have an off-road bumper with winch mount ordered. I am in the very beginning stages of building that little truck into an overlanding rig. A 3" lift and 33" BFG KM3 Mud-Terrains are in the plans. It is going to be a multi-year project but it will be an extremely capable little 4x4 when I am done. It is actually quite capable now in stock form. If it hadn't been for the rock up against the skid plate that stopped my forward progress I would not have had any trouble with that mud hole. This just happens to be one of the rare GMC Canyons with the factory installed 5.3L V8. 😁
  15. Some of us are "Dual Sport" 😁 And then others of us are of the "Triple Threat" variety. A dirty truck is a happy truck. I have a very happy truck......
  16. Where you live, probably. Where I live.....what's a permit?
  17. Winchester Model 1897 Also known as a "Trench Gun" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winchester_Model_1897
  18. Nice pistols! I have a number of 9mm's but no .45's yet. I work at the local range as an RSO and one of the perks is being able to drool over other peoples' guns. Today, however......all the idiots were out in force. Ground shots galore, the extremely inexperienced trying to teach those with zero experience, guys who just bought their first AR-15 and didn't know how to lock the bolt back.....and when I showed them how a live round came out of the chamber of a gun that was supposedly unloaded......most stressful day I have ever had as an RSO.
  19. I was just over there this afternoon wandering around the mfg's tents at the Speedway......pathetic compared to other years. Kawasaki was the only mfg. who really showed up. So far much smaller crowds than normal.
  20. Cassettes.....Pffft! 😆 Notice the Aux. cord plugged into the top of my phone? Pandora.
  21. Nope, I have never seen them anywhere preloaded with tools. Not sure I would want to buy that way, I would rather buy what I want/need.
  22. Home Depot and Lowes also have them.
  23. Based on your recommendation I looked up Frogg Toggs Toad Skinz and saw that the zipper comes all the way up to the knee. I ordered two pair from Amazon and they arrived today. My wife and I just finished test fitting........I like! The zipper that goes up to the knee combined with another one that comes down from the waist a good 6" or so makes a huge difference getting them on and off. I can even do it with my boots on. With my old rain pants there was no chance of getting them on or off without removing my boots first and even then it was a struggle.
  24. That's something that I would like to do sometime.
  25. Yep! Was planning to go this Saturday, but the weather forecast is starting to not look good. I may take my 4x4 off-roading that day instead. I live close enough to Daytona that I will be over there multiple times during Bike Week.
