That is exactly what Rick did to my seat 5-6 years ago. Absolutely top quality workmanship in every way. I have done many 500-600 mile day rides since then and I would put Rick's workmanship and skill against ANY expensive seat that is out there. He won't let you down I assure you....and he stands 110% behind all his work. Boomer....who sez ya can't beat the comfort of a Butler seat mod....unless ya mount a recliner on yer scoot.....

My perspective on Phelps and the WBC is the same now as when I joined the Patriot Guard many years ago: I think its a damn shame that it took someone like Phelps and his organization's antics to wake Americans up to the fact that all members of our Armed Forces and all First Responders are truly America's Hero's and deserve all the SUPPORT and RESPECT which we as a Nation can render unto them. With over 400+ Guard Missions under my belt I can truly say that WE do make a difference for the families of our Hero's and no one can diminish that fact in any way. Boomer....Riding With Respect

Just got the following message and passing along to all members here who ride as members of the Patriot Guard. With respect.....Boomer Patriot Guard, Let’s first remember our Nation’s true Heroes. Those brave men and women of our military and first responders who gave their life so that we may enjoy the freedom to express our differences. While it is hard to find anything good to say about his views or actions, we do give our condolences to his family during what must be a painful time for them. We take no joy in the sickness and death of any man. We do not celebrate the death of Fred Phelps. Patriot Guard Riders hope that Mr. Phelps somehow found the peace that seemed to elude him in life. It is true that the PGR grew out of a response to protests at funerals. That's a fair statement. However, that was 2005 and the PGR quickly learned that there was something powerful in a gathering of Americans who would simply stand and hold flags and let a family know that they were not alone. That powerful thing became our mission. We are neither a protest nor a counter protest group. We honor fallen Heroes and those who have honorably served this free America. The presence or absence of a protest does not alter that mission. If it not for this man and his family we might not have heeded the call to regularly honor the sacrifices of our nation’s true heroes and their families. Nor would we have come to know the brother/sisterhood that has become the Patriot Guard Riders. Respectfully, Robbie Robbie Smart President Patriot Guard Riders 540-841-7272 www.PatriotGuard.org

Dan I know exactly how you feel and it is nothing to be ashamed of buddy. After I recovered from my major crash ( took 6 months)I forget how many times I climbed on the scoot....and shut it down. I didn't think I'd ever ride again....but one day it all came together and off I went on 2 wheels again. Give yourself all the time you need....when the time is right you will know it and roll on the throttle. Boomer....who sez wounds of the memory take longer to heal.

$18 Run/Brake LED light bar.
BoomerCPO replied to deepforkriver's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Now all you need is the High-Intensity LED pod for your tail light and that really lights up BRIGHT as well. The pod can be purchased from Cruiser Customizing....take out the old bulb and plug the pod right into the bulb socket. Whole job will take ya less than 10 minutes to do. Boomer.....who sez bright lights work as good as nekkid wimmen when ya want attention..... -
A cuppa what?.....And WHY???.... Boomer.....the thread killer.

If anyone visits Lafayette,La. BEWARE....the city has installed cameras at every intersection that has lights. My cousin has been with Lafayette PD for over 20 years and he sez the city is making a killing with those cameras. The cops there hate em too cuz the PD often gets tickets as well... Boomer.....who sez having muddied up license plates works very well thank you.

That kinda makes me wonder what my 06 2nd Gen Venture is worth. The scoot only has 71,000 miles on her and I'm not sure if that is considered low mileage and would have any effect on the market value. Boomer....who's NOT considering selling...just a bit curious for sure.
-
I agree with you on the long haul use but I prefer to pull off and the give the whole body a break instead of just my right wrist. Heck I can't remember the last time I used my Cruise Control for that matter... Boomer....who sez frequent stops does wonders for old kidneys too...

Slick idea for sure! Years ago I had a throttle lock on my Venture but I removed it. There are situations that can happen on the road where fiddling with a throttle lock can lead to bad results....or in my case it was 2 very close calls. Boomer....who sez his right hand is the best throttle lock he has ever had.

Last summer while on a Poker Run we witnessed a pooch vs biker incident at one of the stops. Guy in a pickup truck pulled into the parking lot and of course he had his big ugly Heinz 57 in the bed of the truck. As he pulled alongside a bike to park his pooch jumped out and landed on the biker who had just got off his scoot. The biker sustained several bites....but the pooch had far more bites and contusions.... Boomer....who sez not all bikers bark before they bite....

Man I feel the pain for all of you living in the northern climes and having to deal with the snow, ice, and cold. I spent 39 Winters in Noo England and the older I got the more harsher the Winter's seemed to get. There are a few things I miss about living up North. The twisting roads up there are awesome to ride; the Maine lobster & Clambakes are to drool for; and wood burning fireplaces can make for memorable nights.... Despite all that I am truly happy to be here in the deep South. My roots go deep here and my Cajun food, music, and traditions make it all great for me. Stay warm guys....Spring is right around the corner! Boomer....who sez if ya got family/friends around you then any place on earth is livable.

The snow is melting?? :rotf: Boomer.....who sez the outside temp here is hitting 70 now...

There is one heck of a shortage for Electricians to be darn sure!!! Boomer....who sez when he changes a light bulb he "lights up de night" and takes a few days to recover.....
