    Every now and then I spray the clutch lever mechanism with Carb Cleaner,wipe clean, and follow it up with WD-40...... Boomer....who sez you'll have a real problem if a pygmie runs off with the clutch lever....

    Kbran did the SkyDoc clutch mod on my 06 last year and really like the clutch performance....NO slippage whatsoever no matter how hard I hammer the throttle. There is no clutch adjustments for our Ventures....or so I am told. Boomer.....who sez romping on 1st gear generally loses 1-2 pygmies and I'm cool with dat.....

    I met a girl in the park the other evening. There was an instant spark between us and she immediately dropped to her knees and laid on the grass at my feet. As we lay making love, I thought "These taser guns are well worth the money". Boomer.....who wonders how long he's gonna be banned from the Forum.

    If I recall correctly it was right around 36,000 miles when my pump puked out. The bike was under Warranty but waiting for the Dealer to fix it would have cost me time and I was hankering to make the MD up in Oberlin last year. There's been quite a few fuel pump failures but my recollection is that it is the 06 Models which is the majority of the failures. Bubber saved my bacon with the fuel pump he sent me....and at the time I didn't even have the $$$ to pay him for the pump! I try to change the fuel filter out every time I slap new tennis shoes on the scoot and that seems to be working out ok.

    I don't think the mileage factors in on the fuel pump life. It's my understanding that ( for some unknown reason) the fuel pumps for the 06 Models are more prone to failure than any other year models. When my pump went out last year Bubber sent me a fuel pump from a 03 Venture. That sucker does a nice job and I have had NO problems whatsoever. Boomer....wh sez putting in a new fuel filter every 6 months is prolly not a bad idea.

    My 06 has the CHIRP and the WHINE....Iv'e learned to ignore it and drown most of it out with the Baron's 4-2-4 Slip-On's and cranking up my tunes. Boomer....who sez passing a Dairy Queen and not stopping gets the pygmies so riled up they drown out ALL/ANY noise the scoot is making.

    Most of us down heah in Loozeeanner and Texas run the legs off these Ventures in temps ranging from 85-105 degrees. I don't think ya need to be concerned about over-heating way up dere in Noo Hampshure....And yes, I have ridden many summer miles in your State with no heat issues on my Venture. Boomer....who sez yer gonna have problems if ya let those pygmies overheat tho....

    Ya might want to consider letting the scoot get up to normal operating temp/pressure using just the water in the cooling system. I can't see where this would harm anything and it would certainly confirm that you have no leaks/loose connections before ya load her up with the anti-freeze. Boomer....who sez keep any eye out fer rogue pygmies with wrenches in their paws.
