OK.....I'll get some Seafoam and try that. I sure as heck don't want to pull the carbs and go through them! I'll post an update results here if I can find the thread after it falls off the back of the spreader. Thanks guys!! Regards.........Boomer:bighug:

2006 Midnight Venture........Left rear cylinder is now gas fouling the spark plug. I'm on the 2nd plug within 10 days now. Is there something specific I can do to eliminate this problem......and would switching to a hotter plug do the trick? I'm running NGK 4929 plugs in all cylinders now. Regards.........Boomer

Thanks Squid ! I have a small notebook which I keep on the bike with the tool kit. Making notes of little things like this could make a big difference if something goes wrong on the road. I have found a wealth of info and experience at this Forum....and for that I am very grateful!! Regards to all and Ride Safe....Just like night a friend of mine doing a U-turn on his Harley hit sand and went down. The broken ankle will take at least 6 weeks to heal.....Arrrrrggggghhhhhhh................. -

Final update......... AIS re-plugged TIGHT...... Carb re-synch RIGHT ON THE MONEY. Problem discovered: Fouled plug!! Figured out WHY this happened too.....LETTING THE BIKE SIT TOO LONG WHILE WARMING IT UP!! Lesson learned: Hit the road within minutes of firing her up. Note.....My sincere thanks to those who responded to my plea for help! I now have a completely different feel for this Forum and those who hang here. Warmest regards to all.........Boomer:bighug: -

We just re-plugged the AIS lines good and tight. Carb synch check is coming up next. I'll report back as soon as that's done. In the meantime.....If anyone can offer further advice I would appreciate it. Regards.....Boomer -
Last week I installed Baron's 4-2-4 slip-ons on my 2006 Midnight Venture. Also put in new plugs; plugged the AIS lines and the inlet to the AIS pump; re-synched the carbs;and put in new air filters and a new fuel filter. The bike is now popping/backfiring during throttle up/throttle down and even when holding the throttle steady at 60 mph. Have I missed something? Can anyone help/advise with this annoying situation? Regards..........Boomer

Nice set up for sure......but if I did that I'd be the the one to ruin everything by slopping gasoline over everything!

Thanks for your usual informative and speedy response Kit. I have not heard many bad points against the Goldwings..... and those I have heard are very minor! A lot of work is being done on my Midnight Venture as I type this. If all works out well I will ride the wheels off of her this year. I have my fingers crossed that Yamaha will pull their heads out of the sand and intro a updated and improved RSV by 09.....but if not I will do what I have to do to ride the machine which I think is best for me. Enjoy your Wing and ride safe my friend. Boomer

Do you mean the passing lights on that Condor?

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Mike Bland. It always saddens me to learn of the loss of a Brother PGR Member. May the Flag Line be long and stand proud for this son of the yellow and blue. Sadly..........Boomer

Don't use the moniker "Willy G" in your campaign signs..........

It's a lot easier to pass em when they are broke down on the side of the road.....and parked next to the Harley's!!

Well stated Don! The Internet is loaded with both political and religious Forums. No need for THAT kind of passion and turmoil HERE....IMHO. Uhhhhh.......Can we still beat up on the 1st Gen's?

Condor.....UPS just delivered my battery. Thanks much for the good deal and effort which you put into this! Regards.......Boomer

Yo Snake I wish I could have helped you with your question but I am new to these touring bikes. At least you got responses to your questions.....all I got was silence. Color me gone......... Boomer
