Winter Storm Warning-Ohio Valley-No Riding Today!
Brian D. replied to Brian D.'s topic in Watering Hole
Yama Mama: I too was out of school today but our school system has us report on days we are closed so I was an hour on the road @ 7:30AM for the 20 mile drive. I did get alot done though and even posted grades on computor system and played with my smartboard. A rather uneventful day but a productive one. Of course my wife who teaches @ Hillsboro and my daughter enjoyed their day off by hanging around the house watching lifetime for women all day! What a life!! Glad you enjoyed your day off!! Winter Storm Warning-Ohio Valley-No Riding Today!
Brian D. replied to Brian D.'s topic in Watering Hole
You are welcome for the snow there in Northern Va., but really what saddens me the most is all the salt and grit they put on the road will take weeks to remove it from the roads extending the time that I can't get the midnight venture out!! To you all in Canda, hope you warm up soon and please send south! Be safe!! Brian D. -
Hey All: no riding today here in southwest ohio, it is 6:15AM and already have 3-4 inches of the white stuff and predicting 4-6in more today. Hey all: don't post much but am on here daily but I need some advice on how to remove the honeycomb wire mesh that is in one of my 07 RK exhaust pipes. I put them on my 07 RSV three months ago and are much louder than stock. It is in the left one only and yes I have drilled both pipes out in front and back and they sound great but it seems the left pipe isn't as loud. I also wonder if its worth my time to even take it out as I don't know if it will make it any louder. any thoughts or advise appreciated. Happy holidays to ALL!!! Brian D.

Rode 22 miles to work this AM, 6:15AM a cool 27 degrees but of course with RSV fairing and my chaps and leater coat not bad at all. Had the tunes going and about 5 miles from work, bmw passed me at well over 70mph and boy was he ever laying down on that tank. Ride till snows but also try to get it out once a week in winter. Garage heated and plug her into Battery tender when idle during winter.

OK, here what I need to know, how fardo you or can you go once you switch petcock to reserve. My fuel gage light comes on at roughly 182-185 miles and i swiitch to reserve, fill up and it takes about 4 to 4.7 gallon. Why does fuel gage light come on so early if I have a 6 gallon tank? I have over 6,000 miles on RSV in 5 months and have never put more than 4.7 gallon in it. So how far can I still go with 1.3 gallon left and 2 bars showing. How far can you go on your reserve? thanks Brian D.

Well here is the deal, bought 07 rsv midnight new from dealer with 1 mile on it, had a cb antenna fall off on way to st louis in June, had a different yamaha dealer replace and of course he turned it in for warranty work. Well yesterday he calls me and tells me yamaha denied the warranty work due to the fact that according to what yamaha told him i have only a mechanical/ powertrain only warranty an of couse he wants his 120.00. He stated that yamaha told him that they stated that the orginal dealer in northern ohio that i bought it from a got it in an auction or something to that extent thus causing yamaha to only have a limited powertrain only warranty. Well I called the salesman at Honda east and he had no idea what i was told and that he didn't know what the problem could be. He stated that he would have the person who enters warranty info to yamaha call me on Tuesday after she checks into this. Anyway I need anyone on here have any idea what this situation is and being i bought it in april and that don't give me the warranty that i paid for when purchasing the bike, can I use the lemon law to return it and force them to replace with one that has a the 5 year warranty and of next step also would be to seek legal assistance. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Also the dealer i bought the bike from is four hours north of me so I went to yamaha dealer 45 min away to get antenna taken care of

Got mine in April of this year, Midnight RSV 07 from Scott Johnson @ Honda East Maumee, Ohio Scott was super to deal with and had great customer reviews on their website. i drove 190 miles one way to get mine, rode in home. i was there for 30 minutes and gone. easy to work with and the price they give u is what you pay when you arrive no hidden fees or charges. love mine and by the way it rained on me hard from lima back to hillsboro, got a great feel for the bike in rain wet conditions and it performed flawlessly. check out the website and give him a call. i bet he'll beat any deal, got mine out the door for 13,925.00 brand new 0 miles even had tags and documents ready and in my name.. http://www.hondaeasttoledo.com/

Hey all, have had my midnight venture over three weeks and i have a hard time getting rear trunk to shut and latch without putting serious weight into it and even then it takes a couple of times of pushing down to get it latched. took off black plastic latch cover inside trunk and everything seem tight and lined up. wondering if anyone else had this problem and ideas to correct it. oh when i get it latched it does lock as it should and opens fine. thanks Brian D.
