  2. When I had my VTX Igot caught a couple of times when I forgot the blinker was on!%&$** Anyway I got a pizeo (sp.) (an anoying little beeper ) That is activated when the left or right signal is on. It's loud and you can't forget to turn off the signals.. Three wires coming off one to power and the other two to ea. of the signal lights Like I said it will remind you to turn them off! Not exactly what you want but I hope it helps
  3. Great pictures. Beautiful country, Thanks for posting them.. Maybe next time?!?!

  5. [quote=Eck;607594 Hey Sling, are you and Peggy giving any thought to riding up to Vogel with Sleeperhawk, Bobbie, my wife Konnie and I, on Thursday morning? Yes ,we were going to join you all for the ride. I decided not to though, it will turn a 167 mile ride into almost a 300 mile ride. So I guess we'll see youse guys in Blairsville
  6. Peggy and I are really looking forward to Vogel. It has been a while since we've seen everyone... George, I don't think it's possible to leave Bobbie at the gas station------AGAIN!!!

  10. Ga. has some great state parks, check out the web site below. They are well maintained and usually there is something going on in most parks, and the surrounding areas. I hope this will help you when you plan your trip. When you get here give a shout out and folks will meet up with you and ride. http://gastateparks.org/
  11. If you try cutting the windshield down from the bottom it will get thinner the more you cut. It won't go all the way across the fairing. I don't think you'd like it You'd be better off cutting from the top just take your time. It will look much better

    Trip to ER

Hope you are feeling better soon...
  13. I am installing the firestik firefly 3foot antennas in place of the stock ones. After searching the other antenna related threads, I have a question: Instead of replacing all the wiring and the antenna mounts, Is it possible to just drill out the antenna mount and rethread it to the correct thread to match the antenna and just screw the firestik into the mount? I'd do this on both sides. Then just have the CB antenna tuned to the system. I already bought all the components to change everything over. But if it is possible then maybe it could save someone else some money. Thanks in advance
  14. Thanks for posting the pictures.(not enough of them) I really like that bridge. I'd have a hard time getting Peggy across it. She doesn't like going across concrete ones, I could see her holding on as I tried to cross this one!!

  19. Back in my early days of aviation work(1970's) I maintained helicopters that were crop dusters. Talk about crazy flying. They would return to base with tree limbs and all sorts of other "ground material" stuck in the skids and the spray booms!! I got a call from one of the pilots complaining "I can't get the RPM's up" So I asked what the other symtoms were, and was told "I think it's because it's laying on it's side but Art thinks it's because it is in 5 feet of water.:whistling:" There were some great times doing that type of work, but there were some very bad times too. Thanks for bringing up memories from a long time ago
