There was a gathering of BMW's in East Tenn. area. A friend of mine went up there Friday morning. I haven't seen him yet today. Prior to going Friday he told me they were expecting around 6000 riders.

I saw this the other day. (I can't see videos at work they are blocked) I think at the end of the video they give an address where you can sign a patition(sp) to try to stop the removal of the Memorial.

K&N Filters

It does help the engine breathe a little better,IMO. So I guess it will increase mileage a bit. I never really checked it out.. If you go to an auto parts store you can have them order the filters for you. They are less expensive. Most likely save $20.00 to $30.00 Hope this helps.. -
My first wife passed away when she was 25 yrs.old. A few months after she had died, I received a notice addressed to her "She had to report for Jury Duty". Doing what I thought was the right thing to do I replied to them telling her she passed away. They didn't want to hear about it and sent a second notice. I called them and told them she died. I got a third notice, I mailed it back with a change of address. (The cemetery )I never heard from them again.. I wonder how many notices they got!!??

Black Owl, Thank you for that information. Thank you for serving. And most of all ""WELCOME HOME BROTHER""

You shouldn't get any cracking of the windshield, as long as you take your time drilling, drill them just a little oversized for the bolts you are using, and most important----Do not over tighten the nuts and bolts when installing them..

Should be easy now that the glass is broken. Use a pair of snap ring pliers that spread when you sqeeze the handles. This should give you the mechanical advantage you need. Now you can push in and twist, The bulb should come out. Hope this helps you.

Woke up to great riding weather. Peggy and I hit the Barnyard flea market for, yes, some lights for the bike and then rode over to Sleeperhawk and Mechanic's house. Had to re-route past a "incident" that had I-26 backed up for miles. Finally got there after going to one wrong subdivision. Duh! It was a pleasure to meet everyone that we know from the forums. Unfortunately, we could not stay as a phone call told us our evening plans had been moved up to late afternoon. We apologize for leaving so quickly. We really wanted to stay for the pie-eating contest. Isn't that what you were going to do with all the pies we saw in the kitchen? So who ate the most pie? Next time we will be sure to have no other plans for the entire day so that we can stay longer. Thanks for the warm welcome we received. And here is us on the ride home.....

Sorry to hear about the storm damage. Just glad you weren't home at the time. You could have been sitting in the dining room, and that would not have been good.. We're glad your both okay..

I saw the pictures of all the gremlin bells being draped on Eck's bike and trailer. First I thought...that is a little overkill, isn't it....but on second thought, maybe just one more would do the trick. So let me know Eck and I can send you one!!!!!

Help getting s stripped screw out.
Sling replied to timgray's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Sometimes if there is any of the screwdriver slot left, you can get some course valve grinding compound. Put it in the screw slot or on the tip of the screwdriver. this will aid with in grabbing the screw and make it possibleto get the screw out. if that doesn't work and you have to drill the screw out clean all the compound from the screw or the drill bit will just get dull Hope this helps. -
Wish my ride to work was like yours, It takes 18 minutes for me to get to work. But it's all hiway and it's :starz:"UNDER CONSTRUCTION":starz: Great video--How did ya mount the camera?

Front Wheel Removal questions
Sling replied to johnny-canuck's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Just remember when you remove the calipers "DO NOT PRESS BRAKE LEVER":headache: What I do as a precaution is put a block of wood in between the brake pads Just in case someone does depress the brake lever!! -
One of my sons friends is missing his right hand. He just has a nub at his wrist. He rides a crotch rocket, and uses the nub to work the throttle and the hand brake!! He rides good with no problems, I didn't even notice till my son pointed it out to me.

My garage door opens without any toots of the horn-or flashing of the lights. No buttons to push. It's on a timer (She knows when I am suppose to arrive) I pull in approx. 4:00pm the door is open. Now if I can only figure a way to make her close the door?!
