  1. Must have been crazy traffic wise what with the new nascar hall of fame opening this week and being right next store. Sure wish I could have made it up that way.
  2. When you get down to almost reserve (F) starts counting up miles till you stop and refill. Then you reset it just like trip 1 and trip 2

    Good Day

The way I look at it---" My worst day riiding the bike is better then my best day at work!!
  4. Thanks for posting the pictures Bobbie! Looked like everyone had a great time!! Peggy and I wish we could have made it. Work got in the way! (AGAIN)
  5. I picked up a Mity-Vac today at Harbor Freigh. I flushed and reserviced my clutch, front brakes, and rear brake in about 1 1/2 hrs. Start to finish. It worked great I give it . Then I tackled the dreaded "Fuel Filter". Wasn't as bad as I thought, but they could have made it a little easier to get at!
  6. Thanks for the suggestions Bryan I've been looking at the Microsoft sheets but not exactly what I want Thanks again
  7. I had a gas and maintenance program that I kept all of my information in. It was a free program that I could make logs for 3 vehicles.Anyway our computer crashed:starz: a couple of months ago We bought a new one . We were able to recover most everything, but this program did not survive. My question: Does anyone know where I can find another free program to continue keeping track of all I do on my vehicals? ( Sorry I don't remember the name of the program I had) Thanks
  8. Now that's funny and most likely true.
  9. I pull a Tag-along trailer, it is small but I guess that doesn't matter that much except for stopping! Two up with the trailer we've done 70-75 mph. Usually we are on secondary roads so mostly 60-65mph. is what we ride at..
  10. Yes Elite 3's are the way to go In my opinion!
  11. I made a mud flap took a 1/4 " thick piece of rubber, drilled two holes and hang it from the chain loops on my receiver. I fill tires to 15psi. and it seems to do good. I'll let you know when I get the bra made up. The flap does stop most of the stones but I've already had to touch up the front of the trailer.
  12. Peggy and I are having a ball with it. I had a Bra made for the front, but I don't like the way it looks. (It does the job though.) So I went out and bought some material and I'm in the process of making one myself!
  13. Boy does that video bring back memories. A bunch of yrs. ago I worked on those Bell G-47 helicopters for an Outfit on Long Island, New York. Thanks it was fun to watch.
  14. Hope George gets to feeling better and follows doctor's orders. I have had kidneystones myself and I can sympathize with him...NOT fun. Thanks for all the pictures you took. Good memories of a fantastic time. Now if we can only remember all the right names............
  15. Peggy and I are home safe and sound..We started out with a chilly morning ride. We arrived at Steve's house and there were folks already tearing into the bikes.. Oil changes, brake jobs, carb sync's, the works. Even a set of gages installed. I didn't count them but there were so many bikes there that they had to move some out of the shop to get the others in to work on them. Steve's better half put a nice spread for all to eat. Bobbie's camera was smoking with all the pictures she took. It was great to put the faces with the names on the forum, I still don't remember all the names. I would like to thank Blackjack for putting this together and thank Steve for the use of his shop. Weather on the afternoon ride home turned out to be perfect. We had a great day and look forward to seeing everyone again in the future.
  16. Please thank your son for his service. Peggy and I will keep him in our thoughts and prayers for a safe return.
  17. Peggy and I have been married for 30 years and, after the kids were grown and out 6 years ago, we started riding. It is her decision to ride or not. Never was my decision. But she has told me very clearly that she would not want to be home hearing that something happened to me. She would rather be riding on the back and have us be together. If, God forbid, there was a fatal accident, we would be together in that too. I did take the MSF course and we both wear all our safety equipment at all times. She actually would rather ride on the bike with me than in the truck. Seems that I am more aware of the importance of being safe when I am on the bike! So she says. Bottom line for us that if I take the bike out of the garage, she is putting her helmet on. We really prefer it that way. (And she is a dang good navigator to boot).
  18. I got the Yamaha Royal Star venture / Tour Delux Baja Tank Bib Item # 320362544544 from Troy Savoie I got the one with the pocket in it his Email address is troysavoie@cfl.rr.com He's located in Cocoa, Florida
  19. Like Bob said no big deal to get the vinyl off. Mine had doubleface tape that had to be removed. I took some of the door edge trim and applied it to the edge around the plastic piece to make it fit just a little tighter. Hope you can see it in the photo.
  20. What is the P/N for the ebc hh front brake pads? and where is the best place to get them? thanks
  21. Hey Ben how long did it take you to type that???
  22. Under the category...believe it or not...I have photographic proof of Blackjack on a second generation:smile5:. At least it was a midnight. So now it can't be denied. Actually, he was in Augusta to do a big favor for Pastor Paul. His bike needs to be at maintenance day and he is still recuperating from his surgery. Blackjack picked it up and rode it back home in preparation to bring it up to Steve's in a few weeks.
  23. Peggy and I are sending our prayers for a quick and full Recovery.
