Shotguns are a great equalizer but hard to handle in a house even for the experianced (ask an iraqi vet about in house fighting) my opinion is a medium claiber (.380, 9mm etc.) little recoil and lots of rounds in the magazine. I use a 380/ Bersa 10 rds double action (first rd.) it barks but doesn't kick

You chose well rt49 is a good road, stop lites and the like but a good ride. and 85 is the only road betweenGreensboro and Charlotte (when you get to exit 63 give a wave, I'm up the road couple of miles)

On my C-50 I changed to pegs. Hated the floorboards, too small and ackward for my feet, plus I wanted forward controls but when I traded for RSTD there's plenty of room and good seating postion and after a little getting used to I LOVE THE HEEL/TOE

Installing factory passing lamps

I run low beams most all the time but the "running lights" are on at nite and I don't care who's coming. If a car hits a deer some body work is called for If I hit a deer(and we have bunches) a meat wagon will probably get involved. so if on coming traffic is irritated OH WELL -
Remember a kicker for the skins by the name Loumiller(sp) did a comerical like that and disappeared the next year couldn't hit the end zone let alone the uprights

yep I forgot clutch but the weight limit is for liability (yamaha's) sure you have to do things a little different but with both of us up I don't feel a great deal of change. I won't do it if I were a new rider but I won't be riding a 840 lbs motorcycle if I was new either!!!
-
Well I've read every post to this thread and I disagree with 90% of them My girl and I top 500 and we do just fine (control comes from proper use of throttle, brake and steering NOT BALANCE) If I had to balance a 840 lbs motorcycle I'd be finished long ago!!!

This might have been posted before but I'm sort of new here. So here it is again Information to Ponder Counter Steering: If you push the left bar, the bike goes left. If you push the right bar, the bike goes right. That is, unless you keep pushing the right bar all the way, then you will probably go left while the bike swaps ends. Crashing: Remember riding isn't inherently dangerous...crashing is. The Sidelines: It's always better to be on the sidelines wishing you were on the track than on the track wishing you were on the sidelines. Fuel: The ONLY time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. The Rear Wheel: The rear wheel is just a big fan used to keep the rider cool and his butt relaxed. If in doubt... watch. When it locks up or slides out you can actually see the rider start sweating and pucker marks are left on the seat. Too Slow: No one has ever hit something too slow. Rides: A 'good' ride is one you can walk away from. A 'great' ride is one you can walk away from and use the bike again. Getting Hit: They can't hit you if you're not there. Mistakes: Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make all of them yourself. Traction: When traction is sparse, the probability of survival is inversely proportional to the angle of lean. Large angle of lean, small probability of survival and vice versa. Your Brain: Never let a motorcycle take you somewhere your brain didn't go five seconds earlier. Fog: Stay out of fog. The single red taillight you think is another rider ahead that you can catch, might be the red starboard light of a docked boat. Parking: Always try to keep the number of times you park the bike equal to the number of times you've ridden it. Luck & Experience: You start with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck Mirrors: If all you can see in your mirrors is the direction you were previously traveling intermingled with sparks, and all you can hear is commotion from the passenger riding pillion; things are not at all as they should be. Other Objects: In the ongoing battle between objects made of metal, rubber and plastic going dozens of miles per hour, and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose. Same holds for cars, trucks, walls and most animals. Draws don't count. Judgment: Good judgment comes from experience. Unfortunately, experience usually comes from bad judgment. Going Forward: It's always a good idea to keep the headlight end going forward as much as possible. Looking: Keep looking around. There's always something you've missed. Laws: Remember, gravity and centrifugal force are not just good ideas. They're laws not subject to repeal. Received via email - author - unknown.

You'll not find a more comfortable boot than Doc. Martins they even look like motorcycle boots I have the 8" and (had 'em 2 years) they will be my next work boot. I'll buy another pair for riding

Thank your lucky stars!!!! when I had the Suzuki I went through 7 tires in 15 months, not flats They were destroyed by road hazards. almost sold the bike over $1100 in tires

Sorry guys the Vision may be techno great, but it is ugly, two hand fulls ugly and did I mention it was really ugly, some engineer had his head squarely up his posterior went he designed that one If I see someone riding the vision I have to laugh AND point. and it's really a shame because the rest of the line looks really good

This is the way I wired mine, they work great http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l190/Arcs_Sparks/Relay1.jpg
-
uturn I sent you an email but I didn't read that you had a C-50 (thats what I traded for the Royal Star) so you sould use a wire through the switch that is controled by the key other wise you're asking for battery problems I know I killed one by leaving the lights on (Mine was wired straight to the battery by the dealer that installed the light bar)
-
my next upgrade is a battery monitor propably the Kury because I also have a 55/100 headlight bulb that's 155 watts low beam (12.9 amps) and 200 watts high beam (16.6 amps) is it me or are motorcycle headlights all less than effective. at nite on low beam it's almost like being blind

Victory builds a good bike and 90% of the time a good looking bike, but what were the designers thinking when they made the Vision. Ugly Ugly and its really UGLY!!!!! If I saw someone riding one of those things I'd have to laugh AND point
