I guess I was here??? Dropped by when struggling big time on my first '83. I thought it was sometime around Aug. in '05BC, but I might be mistaken. I do know I was here before Venture West 1. When I registered, almost immediately, I got an email from HDHTR, and it turned out his office was right around the corner from me....and had a coffee pot on! Steve was a born charismatic social director, and thru him I met Easy Rider, Buddy Rich, and several other local Venture riders. I didn't attend WV1 (Bakersfield) or #2 (Death Valley), but finally made it to #3...Susanville. Been hooked ever since...

That's what I started saying 4 years ago.... It hasn't worked... Granted I don't ride as much either, but still enjoy meeting up with Venture folks at VW's.

Aside from the jokes and the 69'er's, it looks like there's 5 of us so far. Am I the oldest??? I'll be leaving for Yreka next Wednesday. OK, so it's only 250 miles one way, but last year at 73 I was running around on the top of Mt.Hood in Oregon...

That doesn't count.... Come back in September... :-)

There's another thread on here that is asking everyone's age. Since I'm in a rare group ( Rare Bird) I wonder just how many of us here are over 70 and still riding. 74 and still on two wheels....
