When they were in biz they made a ton of them and they show up on eBay all the time.... You just have to be patient...it'll show up eventually.. VENTURE HOPNEL
-
That looks great. Maybe some day I'll give it a try.....

I've found several tank bibs on eBay. You can actually get one with out the studs and add them yourself. Hopnel I one maker, and I think Venture line put out one out with the two pockets. I can also recommend Nanci at Ace Hi. It might be pricier, but the quality is hard to beat...

130mm Front brake mounts

Thanks for the reply and info. Glad you healed up OK. Was the accident any result of the modification, or a gremlin?? The reason I ask is after really looking at the pic on the bike, it looks like the leading edge and the trailing edge of the pad are only making contact with about 50% of the rotor and could use a rotor with a larger radius. I don't know but maybe the rotors from a 6 piston R1 may be bigger than the earlier 4 piston R1... We used to have some very knowledgeable R1 riders on this board. Maybe one might chime in and explain the difference.... if any?? Just found this pic. Looks like there is more contact... -
Heat it up and hit it with some WD or...??

Don't forget the MKII rotors. The OEM '83's are fatter than the MKII's. While in there you might as well toss in a set of Progressive springs. I did the conversion on my '83 and never delinked. Afterwards I didn't feel it was necessary,, Edit #2 ... The MKII forks will have electric anti-dives. I just stuffed the wire leads up under the fairing. With the Progressives they weren't needed.

Any plans on producing a 'kit' for sale?? I bet there are a bunch of Venture trike owners and two wheelers pulling larger camper trailers who would be interested..... And... did you use a CNC to cut the part out?? Another thought.... did you check to see if the lines off an R1 would work?? Maybe? -
Hey Puc, you can come too... But only if Tippy comes along as decoration... :-)

You're always welcome for coffee George.... maybe even a lunch break on me.. :-)

You remove a 40' fruitless mulberry, and pore a 66'x14' driveway in the back yard. With a little help... :-) It's been running in the mid 70's out here on the left coast, and figured it was about time to make a plan come to life. Last summer we poured a 24'x36' slab, and now there's a driveway leading to it. Now it's supposed to rain for the next week or so, which saves me the job of keeping the new stuff hosed down and help with the curing.... Can't wait to put another trailer on it.... :-) Pics to follow... soon..

That would be neat... Any chance of seeing one?? -
SUSANVILLE CA. Great little town, and a lot of places to ride. Sits right on the east side of the Sierras...

Haven't heard a thing lately George. This thread's been hi-jacked.... no relation... by a bunch of guys bragging about retirement and ice cream. Besides I think most of the folks in your neighborhood are heading north above the 48. If anything does happen it will probably be a spur of the moment decision. That said Susanville II might be a place?

Pray those fingers will get back to wiggling like they should my friend.....

You might give Krylon semi-flat black a try. Should match the finish of the engine very well.... -

Condor replied to KISA's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Looks very similar to other bags on the market. The only thing missing is the logo. TANK.BAG -

I've been using http://www.EarthLink.net since the early '90's. They've always done a great job.
