The key here is he wants to send you the money without looking at the bike. That should raise a flag anytime. As far as using Paypal, I've been using Paypal as a business credit card system for just short of 20 years. Started way back when it was http://www.x.com. ... The alphabet was the first to go when web registration began.... I've taken payments from all over the world, and one of the things I like about PP in that they will convert different currencies to US$. Like Don said sometimes the fee can be on the high side... figure 3 bucks a hundred. One fee I got hit with was $264 bucks, but it was worth it knowing the payment was secure. And.... you can always pad the selling price to cover the charge if you want. I've used it a lot and have never been dissatisfied..

I do own a S&W 9mm and a COLT Trooper .357, but don't consider myself a sidearm fan. Back in the old days....... I used to buy a Ruger and the leather and carry it during the deer season loaded with snake loads, and then sell it after the season ended. Do the same thing the following year. Nowdays I'm a big fan of long guns. 'Specially those that are higher grade. I like the looks, the quality of workmanship, and that little something that makes them different somehow. Be it design, caliber, engraving, or wood. I run into one like that and I can't help myself... I gotta own it....

There is one problem. I bought the 70 264 to replace a custom 264 that was stolen about 25 years ago... The first 10 I searched for my gun, the second 10 I sorta gave up, and have been sorta looking for the last five when I found this one. Now the problem is... it's too damn nice to shoot.... :-) It's going to be a safe queen. And.... that gives me the excuse to go looking for another 264 shooter. I already have one spotted in Cody Wy. :-) We'll see..... ??

A Cabela's Limited edition 50th Anniversary, '1 of 250, Model 70's in 264 Win Mag. and an 1892 John Wayne 100 anniversary in 44-40. I think?? I did pretty good on both guns. Both are unfired in the box w/docs in mint condition....

Spending way too much money on Guns lately.... In the last week I'm out $2400 bucks on two Winchester rifles. Actually I'll probably do better than gold, and damn well do better than keeping it in the bank....

Nice.... The best I've ever done is $400 stuffed under the monitor when I moved the office. Now when I get a grand of mad money in the walnut it goes in the safe. Then all I have to do is remember the combo... :-)

That would be cool Ron, and if I were 10 years younger I'd be your huckleberry, but lately I can't get motivated to go around the block. That Yreka trip last year hammered me pretty hard with the heat and the busted scoot. BTW 10 years younger and I'd still be an O.F. .... And riding to Ft Collins and back on the '83 was a piece of cake....

I used to put the bike on the center stand and use a small scissor jack to keep the front tire suspended and removed the front wheel. Took it down to my local shop and waited while they mounted the new tire. A couple of hours and I was back on the road.... The MKII wheels are generally available, it's the rotors that are a little harder to come by....

Sadly I've never been, and at my age probably never will, but I can go vicariously.... I found this on the Indian Page and it's one of the best I've run into. If you're traveling between McDonalds and Shopko... wave... http://www.indianmotorcyclesturgis.com/view-our--live-stream

super brace
Condor replied to adventurer 08's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
That's a nice looking brace. With the design shape it probably was done on a water jet. The brace I had for the group buy was a CNC and flatter. -
First off Dan you don't want a manual. The thing is outdated and poorly written. You'd be more confused after reading it. However.... there is a helpfull video on installation, and there are a bunch of videos on their website that are interesting. Give you something to do when bored... :-) http://www.mtcvoyager.com/videos/ Have fun.... PS: I was able to leave the side stand on my 2ndGen, but the 1stGen center is going to have to come off...not sure about the side??? I would think it could be left on for when you go back to two wheels... if you ever do??

Just a thought. Get rid on the Teflon tape on the banjo and use a new crush washer...... -
There are some MC jacks that do not have long enough lifting pads. You might try another brand...and take your tape measure with you.

Are Motorcycles allowed to travel in the Car Pool Lane?
Condor replied to VanRiver's topic in Watering Hole
I think you'll find that just about every state allows MC's in the car pool lane... aka Diamond... aka HOV.... -
And a fine job you did......

LOL.... Sure that's what I meant... Wink..wink....

He might have the squelch cranked up to max???

Generally it is by accident. Seeing as I've come to expect it whenever I have a long dissertation, and being the paranoid sort, I highlight and copy it to the clip board when it even starts to get lengthy.... So.... how many of you have composed an eloquent long reply, or new thread, and had to look something up, left the page, only to come back and all of your brilliant thoughts had disappeared?? OR.... typed a long reply only to go back to the listings and forget to hit the post button?? I just want to know if I'm the only one...???

I've had bouts of vertigo a few times. Usually when I get up and bounce off the walls for a couple of days before it goes away. I attributed it to low BP and the BP pills, but after reading all the posts about doing yoga and standing on my head I'm willing to give it a try. What has concerned me was getting an episode while riding.....

So I'm killing time watching the Velocity Cable Channel, and this ad comes on. On Sept. 5 there going to be a 3 night series titled 'Harley and the Davidsons'. I like anything about 2 wheel history, and from the previews it's gonna be a gotta watch series. So mark this down. Sept 5 at 9pm on the Discovery Channel. About 5 weeks from now...

I really think the '83 VR's have a hotter motor. Sorta a Yamaha beta model. They fine tuned it in '84 and it lost a tad of it's Wheaties. Then really tweaked it for the V-Max. My 2¢

You might want to post this as a new thread. This one is from 2012....
